Alternatives to Chemo - What Would You Suggest To A Person Instead of Chemotherapy ?

Cancer is a rampant disease that affect cells of each organ & body structures and is life threatening. There are over 100 areas of cancers

Cancer is ultimately the result of cells that uncontrollably grow and do not die. Normal cells in the body follow an orderly path of growth, division, and death. Programmed cell death is called apoptosis, and when this process breaks down, cancer begins to form. Unlike regular cells, cancer cells do not experience programmatic death and instead continue to grow and divide. This leads to a mass of abnormal cells that grows out of control.

Cancer is a disease in which a group of cells display uncontrolled growth, invasion, and sometimes metastasis. These three malignant properties of cancers differentiate them from benign tumors, which are self-limited, do not invade or metastasize. The incidences of various types of cancers are increasing so much that The "Cancer War" was declared in 1971 by the Cancer industry & Federal govt. Since then 2 trillion dollars have been spent on conventional treatment but the success rate is just 2.4 %.

I regularly hear of people going through Chemotherapy treatment for their cancer, and I really feel sorry for them, thinking that there are a LOT of other things they could be doing instead of resorting to such an extreme, invasive "therapy", if we can even call Chemo that.

Conventional Cancer treatment specialists usually ignore the body's immunity when confronting cancer. A person's immunity is the first line of defense while fighting cancer.

There are various stages of Cancer, but it is best to go for screening well in advance to assist with the most effective prognosis.

My questions and some suggestions :

Is Chemo actually helpful for people at any stage of their cancer ?

Why is it that people appear to be "over" the cancer after taking Chemo ?

Finally, from your experience or knowledge , what would you suggest to a person who in undergoing Chemo or thinking to do so ?

These are some suggestions off the top of my head, but please add yours :

1. I have heard that excess acidity, or Acidosis in the body is a root cause of many diseases. The main causes of excess acidity that one should avoid are : caffeine, alcohol, meat ( especially red meat ) , white sugar, white flour, and stress.

Having said this, I have also read that excess alkalinity can also be the cause of disease in the body.

2. Cleanse your body of all toxins and boost antioxidants with the Breuss Juice Therapy ( Carrot/ Beet / Celery Root / Black Radish / Potato juice formula )

3. Essiac tea

4. Chapparal Tea

5. Keep hygenic habits by bathing at least twice a day, avoid multiple sexual partners due to greater risk of STDs, or observe celibacy.

6. Do you very best to avoid all polluting chemicals by drinking filtered water, ingesting only pesticide free organic vegetables

7. Forgive everyone that has hurt you , because cancer is said to be a disease that is also based on bottled up negative emotions and resentment toward others. We need to forgive others even more for our own benefit than for the other person. To not forgive others is said to be like drinking poison and wishing the other person would die.

8. I have read that Cancers and Tumours increase by living off of animal based protein, meat and dairy, so a well balanced vegan diet with lots of fresh fruits , vegetables, sprouted seeds etc...could be optimal

9. Anti cancer drugs such as Vinblastine , Vincristine, are made from the TCM Chinese herb known as Chang Chun Hua ( Madagascar Periwinkle or Cantharanthus roseus )

10. Don't be a couch potato. Get sunshine in the morning , go for a walk, or swimming. Watch your calorie intake and keep your weight under control.

11. Avoid toxic relationships and avoid "digesting" toxic television shows with violence and other mind-warping subject matter. Avoid reading distorted and depressing "News" which has been fed to us through the Media in terms of what they want us to believe.

12. In Ayurveda literature, terms like gulma, grahani, raktapitta, & mainly arbudha are similar disease conditions to cancers & treatment modalities documented under these disease conditions are found to be effective in various types of cancers in researches. The choice of therapy depends upon the location and grade of the tumor and the stage of the disease

Some things that I've heard are that selenium works with vitamin E to fight cancer. Vitamin E is basically the fat-soluble version of Vitamin C in that they perform similar functions but one is water-soluble and the other is fat-soluble. I've read that the more selenium you have in your body the more Vitamin E you will have because they work together. Brazil nuts are a reliable source of this nutrient. More on this here:

I always thought this link was interesting; don't know much about the treatments though. The enzymes mentioned at the bottom of the page are in pineapples and kiwi fruit:

There are lots of links about lemons and cancer; they are high in vitamin C which fights cancer, but what I really think is useful about them is that they dissolve calcium deposits in the body. One example of calcium deposits are breast lumps, the only difference between a cancerous and non-cancers breast lump is that one already has cancer and one is going to get it. The calcium deposits create an area where blood has a hard time getting to and so the oxygen levels go down which gives cancer an area with low oxygen for it to grow. I think lemons might help to dissolve these calcium deposits, they've been used to dissolve kidney stones and the Master Clease diet claims that it will disolve arterial plaque because the lemonade will dissolve the calcium in the arterial plaque.

One thing I would add to the list above is to cultivate thoughts that our true nature is one of health and wholeness.
And to cultivate a sense of a higher power that wants that for everyone.

Dad had his first round of Chemo yesterday. Don't know how he's doing but bet he feels like blech right now. This is the only treatment he's open to so I'm grateful for it even if I don't think it's the only way to go.

Change the life style that caused the desease.
Live WITH the Sun, meaning go to bed early and get up early.
Swim in the sea, swimming alone can heal.

Therapy I like: six weeks eat only Concord Red Grapes. That means, it NOTHING else.

For most of the therapies, the key is what you DON'T eat.

1. Get out of the city, live with nature
2. Good sleep
3. Sun and the sea - swimming, sun gazing
4. Concord Grapes

Anyway, I am not an expert, this is just my view of life.

I think it's not appropriate for me to opine what to do instead of chemo since I am not a doctor. And chemo may have saved my father's life (stage 3 esophogeal). I think it isn't either or. The oncologist should be able to show the efficacy of the treatment for similar cases or explain why they are prescribing it if not.

Fuhrman's anti-cancer protocol is a useful adjunct I think.

From the November 2005 edition of Dr. Fuhrman’s Healthy Times:

Eat to prevent cancer, to slow cancerous progression, and, possibly, to beat cancer. No treatment—not even a program of nutritional excellence—is consistently effective for “curing cancer.” Cancer is a bizarre end-stage disease that responds in an unpredictable fashion, but dietary protocols that include vegetable juicing and high intake of cruciferous vegetables offer the most potential for treatment and for increasing the survival of cancer patients.

Here are the seven most important dietary steps to take:

1. Vegetables (not fruits) should comprise the largest part of your diet. They should include raw salad vegetables, raw solid vegetables such as broccoli and snow pea pods, as well as cooked vegetables, which should be steamed lightly, lightly sautéed in water, or cooked in soups.

2. Sprouts are an excellent concentrated source of phytochemicals. Try mung, radish, alfalfa, and broccoli sprouts. Broccoli sprouts are the richest natural source of sulforaphane.

3. Include large amounts of green, leafy vegetables (spinach, romaine lettuce, kale, collards, and chard) and choices from the cabbage family (cabbage, baby bok choy, brussels sprouts, red cabbage, and Chinese cabbage) in your salads.

4. Drink fresh-squeezed vegetable juice two or three times a day, made with carrots, beets, tomatoes and greens (kale, collards, wheat grass, mashe, and cabbage). This provides the broadest spectrum of cancer-fighting nutrients. Only use organic vegetables for juicing.

5. Beans also contain powerful cancer-fighting compounds, especially the darker colored and reddish beans. Use them in a carrot juice- or tomato juice-based soup with added mushrooms and cruciferous vegetables.

6. Use organic raw fruits, especially those with high free radical-absorptive capacity, such as all berries, kiwis, gogi berries, red and black grapes, cherries, papaya, and red apples.

7. Use only raw, unsalted seeds and nuts in your diet as your source of fat. No animal fats or oils should be used. Avocado and raw nuts and seeds can be blended to make delicious dips and dressings.

A Sample Cancer Protocol Menu
The suggested meal options listed below contain multiple choices. You do not have to consume all of the foods listed!

Breakfast

6-8 oz. glass of fresh-squeezed vegetable juice made from carrots, beets, kale, parsley, wheat grass, or other greens
Fresh fruit, especially blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, kiwis, and papaya
One cup oatmeal with ground flaxseed, walnuts, and added fruit
Fresh fruit smoothie, blended with watercress, kale, and pomegranate
Lunch

Large green salad with baby greens, shredded cabbage, and baby bok choy, with a healthful fruit nut-based dressing
Vegetable Bean Soup, made with zucchini, leeks, blended cruciferous leafy greens, mushrooms, onion, lentils, beans, parsnips, herbs and spices, cooked in half vegetable juice and half water
One fresh or frozen fruit (mango or cherries) whipped into a 1/2 cup of pomegranate juice
Dinner

Glass of vegetable juice (organic tomato-based) with cruciferous greens added such as cabbage, watercress, and arugula
Blended salad, 1-2 oz. raw organic spinach, 2-3 oz. leaf lettuce, 1 oz. kale, Chinese cabbage or bok choy. Blend greens in a high-powered blender with apple and cinnamon, avocado and banana, strawberries and pineapple, orange and lemon, or any other cut fruit (and flavored vinegar, if desired).
Lightly steamed greens, such as brussels sprouts, asparagus, and artichokes
Raw vegetables, tomatoes, baby bok choy, carrots, peppers, broccoli, snow peas, and small raw okra, with dip or dressing
Vegetable/eggplant stew made with edamame, red peppers, mushrooms, eggplant, tomatoes, cauliflower, frozen peas, and currants, with flavoring such as cinnamon or turmeric
Frozen organic strawberries whipped with an orange or dried pineapple
Fresh or frozen fruit (whipped), berries, or other fruit
Eggplant-Hummus Dip
Bean Salsa Dip or vinegar
Note: As much as one avocado and 3 ounces of raw nuts/seeds can be used in the dressings and sauces each day. Nutritional supplements also are included in the protocol.

basically just go on a raw detox diet. 100% for sure. LOW low fat. lots of greens. cancer will die! its so simple. been done over and over. chemo is extremely toxic and much harder to heal a person afterwards than before. ! look into dvds on the topic. like "HEALING CANCER" and "THE GERSON MIRACLE" must watch!
