Date: March 05, 2012 02:50AM I have an apple corer, a melon baller, and a few other fruit and veggie gadgets. A banana cutter seems like a waste of time given how easy it is to peel and cut the fruit. Were I to get one, I think I would opt for Williams Sonoma for a few more dollars. But I don't think it is necessary

Date: March 05, 2012 06:00AM I'm with you luvyuu, I have a few fancy tools but I avoid anything that I can do without. I go for tools that have multifunctions, like a good sharp knife . Re: A gadget for the uninspired raw foodist

I agree with some of what you say. Although, I think my line is different. I've benefited or gotten returns on some of the gadgets I've bought either in terms of time saved (the gadget does it better than the knife or spatula) or yield (same amount of time but more food extracted - at my skill level ** caveat--) Re: A gadget for the uninspired raw foodist

Date: March 05, 2012 10:40PM Well, I can think of a really good use for the banana peeler. That of a conversation piece, but you have to hang it on the wall in full view of the dinng/lounge room though. If someone is abit shy, then having people over for tea doesn't have to be a fearful event. Just look at how the peeler has contributed to conversation of this thread hahahah.
