do you ever freeze juice?

Date: March 08, 2012 12:16AM I'm going away this weekend and I don't want to miss out on my juice and smoothies... I had the bright idea of making some flasks up on Friday, freezing them, then taking them with me in a freezer bag so that by the time I was ready to drink them on Sat and Sun they'd be defrosted... do you think it's worth it or would I be losing a lot of nutrients like that? Date: March 08, 2012 12:40AM I'd try it before hand to make sure it doesn't turn weird, that would be such a waste. Re: do you ever freeze juice?

Date: March 08, 2012 01:29AM Yeah, that's good advice to try it first, but I think it'd be ok, cause we used to make ice blocks by doing that. You prob be losing some nutrients, but not enough to worry too much about. Re: do you ever freeze juice?

Date: March 08, 2012 01:39AM Carry a personal blender with you, and buy your produce from whereever you will be. You can also look for a cheap juicer for 20 or 30 Box and buy and prepare your fresh juices. If you're traveling over the weekend only, then a personal blender is your choice, if more, then you can pick either one or both.
How about that for a bright idea? Re: do you ever freeze juice?

Date: March 08, 2012 08:03AM Well, that's a cool idea Duke, but then why not just take your regular juicer or blender??? I'm thinking that Lisa asked this cause she don't want to take any bulky items and/or she don't want to use her time away taken up by juicin'n'blendin. Hence, the freezin' question. Date: March 09, 2012 12:25AM Thanks guys yeah I thought about taking a blender, I've done that in the past, but it would be a bit more convenient this time for me to prepare it all in advance. I'm going tomorrow so no time to try it out, I'll just have to go for it, lol I've frozen smoothies ok in the past, so hopefully the juice will be ok too. I don't mind if it doesn't taste so great, I'd still drink it, there's no way I'd let my juice go to waste, haha.
The food's all meant to be included by the way, but I know not to trust hotels' idea of raw vegan, lol, I'd be starving if I didn't go well-prepared xx Re: do you ever freeze juice?

Date: March 14, 2012 06:10PM We used to flash freeze ounces of WG juice with dry ice at the sprout farm. It's not wonderful that way but it could be taken as a quick shot or added to apple juice to make it more tolerable.
How did your experiment go Lisa M? Re: do you ever freeze juice?

Date: February 28, 2013 01:33AM Just a short note,I have been freezing raw vegetable juice for over 20 plus years
and it did take me a few years to find the answer to making the perfect juice. now my juice comes out great every time and i only have to spend about 3 hours a month making juice.juicemaker Re: do you ever freeze juice?
