Has anyone ever felt detox from eating chia seeds?

I made a pudding yesterday! I didn't post the recipe, as it contained vanilla soymilk so was not all-raw. In any case, it turned out so good that I ate the whole thing! It was about 4 Tbsp. of chia (or more). It wasn't a dramatic feeling afterwards but it must have lots of soluable fiber since it forms a gel, right? I just wondering if it was pulling toxins from my body and that was the sensation. I don't think it was any sort of allergic reaction.

Chia is very rich in fiber so it can help aid in toxin elimination but out of interest what do you feel ?.

Food takes time to digest so id doubt there would be any immediate symptoms unless you were allergic, sensitive or intolerant to it, in which case id prob avoid. What i mean is that there is no immediate compounds in chia seeds which could cause immediate detoxification reactions on ingestion, so in my opinion its probably more likely a mild allergic reaction.

PL, I don't think it's an allergic reaction. I am not one of those types who has to avoid foods luckily. This felt like a mild pulling--as if the toxins were literally gets sucked out of the tissuessmiling smiley

Where are you feeling this pulling sensation all over or in your stomach?

No - I've eaten it in various different forms and not felt anything untoward.

The Storm--I was thinking about how it soaks up water. No, it's a very subtle feeling. I didn't feel bad or anything at all. Just very slightly. I would think that it's soluable fiber more than insoluable, no? All that gel like pectin? In any case, thanks for the input. I plan to keep eating them for sure. I have been looking for exact nutritional info online.
