question about the date people

can anyone tell me whether the date people have generally reasonable shipping costs, and when they do actually start shipping? i'd like to avoid making a cross-country phone call to find out if i can. i know that some other companies make a killing on shipping and i was just wondering whether the date people's affordable-looking prices were too good to be true. heh. found. They're some of the loveliest people I've met... operate on an honor system. You can send a check after the delivery arrives! Just met them in person at Raw Spirit Fest in Arizona. They gave tons of free samples to everyone. My favorite are the Medjool variety. You can't go wrong with any selection.. all worth every penny. In the summertime, don't miss trying the "Bahri" variety -- heaven. Re: question about the date people

Date: October 17, 2006 05:01PM They are reasonable, honest, and lovely people. As zohra said, you receive the order and then send the check no problem. You trust them, they trust you.
And their dates are real good. They just called us last week because they are late on the picking. So they are not ready shipping yet. Maybe in 3 weeks or so. If you want to save a call, wait a bit, and try later. I like the honey and empress ones. SGC Re: question about the date people

Date: October 18, 2006 05:05AM The shipping is really cheap. The total price for their dates are less than the price I can purchase dates for at Wild Oats / Whole Foods, and The Date People dates taste much better than the ones at Whole Foods.
You should call them now and leave a message with your contact info. There is a long waiting list so you should get on it ASAP. They will return your call in a couple weeks when they are ready to ship your box. Re: question about the date people
