How unhealthy is the airport body scan?
Posted by: rab ()
Date: April 30, 2012 11:00PM

I need to travel soon, I am not sure what to do with the airport scan. I hate x-rays but the alternative can be brutal. Flying on a plane is not healthy either, they say.

Any thoughts to help me make up my mind?

Can't you opt-out for a physical pat down instead? As long as you're really polite about it, you shouldn't have a problem.

From what I understand, those machines are in the terahertz frequency range. The microwave frequency is about 2.4 GHz... to give you an idea.

Alternatively, you can load up on some polypore mushrooms (or turkey tails, according to Paul Stamets), lots of melatonin, or as little as 5mg of oral harmine (according to Ananda Bosman) to cancel out radiation. Green tea is apparently quite radioprotectant, too.

I had to get some x-rays done today, so I loaded up on the polypores and hoped for the best. Hint: they taste AMAZING when brewed as a strong tea and then used as a base for miso soup! (Miso also has radioprotectant qualities... and then, why not add some seaweed and green onions for an extra anti-cancer bonus? smiling smiley )

But I can't stress, going for the patdown is #1. It might violate your sense of manhood, but I think that's better than violating your DNA's ability to replicate healthfully.

Edit: Don't forget, you are getting considerable radiation exposure with a flight, too, so it might actually be good to include some dietary defense. Especially if you're flying over Japan... it never hurts to be too safe, especially when all you have to do is eat some yummy food. smiling smiley

Thanks a lot. I will try to go with the pat down, just don't know who to tell what my choice is and when. I have read that once you are in line for the scan you can't get out any more.
What is causing the radiation during the flight, the plane itself or high altitude?

Also, please recomend a store where to get those mushrooms and oral harmine, I will follow your advice.

We do Paul Stamets mushroom host defense formula which is one of the most thorough medicinal mushroom products on the market. [www.amlaberry.co.uk]

Alginates from brown seaweed are probably the best though from protecting you from radioactive elements. We also do this as a powder, it is also known as modifilan by brand.

I would not opt for a patdown, as they can horribly invasive(I'm sure you've heard the horror stories). I have gone through a few of these scanners and hope that as long as I am supplementing with iodine and eating a healthy diet, I won't get radiation damage.

I truly do not think these scanners should have been put into use with such insufficient testing. But, there is so much radioactive stuff in our environments already, the occasional pass through one of these devices is not something I worry about in isolation.

I'd rather go through the TSA feeling me up than take a chance on accumulating more radiaton.

Hey rab,

I'd definitely opt-out and go with the pat down and then, here are some ideas for the Jet Stress...

"Jet Stress"
How to Survive Life in the Air

Flying high on an airplane is as much a stress for the body, mind, and spirit as flying high on the inner plane is a balm. There are two major categories of jet stress, commonly known as jet lag: (1) the disruption of all the biological clocks as we travel through the time and magnetic zones and (2) the effects of living inside the belly of the airborne electromagnetic vibrating beast.

The more time zones we travel through at one time, the more our circadian (24 hour cycle) and ultradian (cycles less than 24 hours) cycles are disrupted. The daily circadian rhythms include such things as: energy levels, mental functioning, alertness, sleep? wake cycles, digestion/ elimination cycles, body temperature cycles, 24 hour metabolic cycles, sense of time, and flow of the chi through the acupuncture meridians. The ultradian rhythms include heart beat, respiration, cell division, RNA and DNA cycles and cell division.

Moving through time zones and magnetic lines causes a cellular confusion that manifests as the body's homeostasis begins to shift into the new time frame and rhythm. The time it takes to reset all the biological rhythms is considered, by many, both the definition and the main cause of jet lag. It is officially called "circadian de synchronization". Not only is each cycle off, but also all the body cycles and rhythms are out of sink with each other. Jet stress affects us on a physical, subtle body, emotional, mental, and spiritual level.

Some of the early symptoms of jet lag on the physical level are: fatigue, disorientation, decreased mental and physical ability, mental confusion, poor digestion, constipation and other forms of bowel and urinary dysfunction. Symptoms that may occur after flying are generalized decreased energy and vital force resulting in decreased work capacity, decreased sexual interest, physical in coordination, insomnia, headache, malaise, loss of appetite, loss of appetite, body aches, weakened immune system, hernorrhoids (99% of stewardesses get hemorrhoids according to ex-stewardess Diana Fairechild author of Jet Lag: Jet Smart), impaired vision, irregular heart beat and temperature deregulation (both may take up to one week to return to normal), various blood clots in the legs, modified reactions to medication, blood sugar imbalance, over sensitivity to pain, and swollen feet.

Symptoms of emotional jet stress are: anxiety, depression, euphoria, impatience, irascibility, irritability, indecisiveness, insecurity, emotional lability and vulnerability. Symptoms of mental jet lag are: mental confusion, time/space disorientation, poor concentration, hallucination, memory loss, and general discombobulation. Spiritual jet lag seems associated with an increased or decreased sensitivity to the Divine.

Flying east to west is a little easier than flying west to east, but both directions are considered the main causes of dysnchronization and upsetting the sleep cycle. The rapid crossing of the magnetic lines may create a "magnetic burn" on the subtle energy systems. Flying north to south or south to north has a different affect. As we move closer or farther from the North magnetic pole there is a change in the pull on our circulation since our hemoglobin is made of iron and we are 65-70% water which like the oceans, is affected by magnetic pulls.

The effects of riding inside the beast also have a significant impact on our well being. There are stresses from the physical vibrations of the airplane, stresses from the movements detected by the inner ear, considerably lower oxygen concentration, lower atmospheric pressure, and lower humidity, dehydration, increased free radical exposure from increased radiation, lack or exercise, increased ozone', and increased viral and bacterial exposure from sharing an enclosed air space. The food, alcohol, and carbonated drink is not exactly healthy for our jet travel needs either. According to airline ex stewardess Diana Fairechild there may often be a significant pesticide exposure both on our luggage on domestic flights and in the cabin air and luggage for international flights.

Our bodies are exposed, to toxic chemicals from fuel exhaust, especially while sitting in the airplane before taking off, occasional toxic fumes from toxic air cargo, and potential radiation from commercial transport of radioactive materials. Electric magnetic pollution from ground, and airplane radar, cockpit computers, jet engines, and electrical wiring throughout the cabin all add to the biological stress. A significant amount of static electricity builds up on the fuselage, which causes a static electrical build up on the passengers as well.

The unifying understanding is that jet travel causes stress and chaos at the cellular, organ, full physical body, electromagnetic, subtle body, emotional, mental, and spiritual level. I have developed a specific program for minimizing jet stress that has helped many people. The ultimate prevention and treatment of jet stress is to become so healthy that one's cells, emotional, subtle body, mental, and spiritual field is so strong that the factors of jet stress will have less affect. Like conscious eating, conscious flying protects our vital force.

The seven step program to protect against jet stress includes:

1) Jet stress electronic devise, called the micro-harmonizer that gives off a 7.83-8 hertz frequency that makes the body feel as if it is still in the earths Schuman resonance field.
2) Personal air ozone purifier
3) Drink one glass of clean water every hour with 8 drops of crystal energy. Use your own high quality water filter bottle that will filter the airplane water. Avoid liquids, which clump the blood such as alcohol and diuretics such as soft drinks, coffee and black tea, which further dehydrate the system.
4) Increase oxygen by breathing exercises before flying and using stabilized oxygen water. We use vitamin O.
5) Use antioxidant supplements to minimize radiation and other free radical stress. I use Pro-guard a wheatgrass supplement high in SOD and Antioxidant Supreme.
6) Adaptogens to minimize adrenal stress such as Tachyonized Siberian Ginseng and Tachyon Klamath Lake Algae to minimize brain, body and adrenal stress.
7) Melatonin for jet lag time zone adjustment. I suggest 1 tab of Sleep Z, a tachyonized low dose melatonin one hour before bed. Also, go to bed at the normal time for the new time zone and awake to get early daylight.
8) Do airplane yoga or any exercise you can while flying. A complete airplane yoga will be available in the Rainbow Green Live Food Cuisine

The discounted complete Jet stress kit is available from the Tree of Life Online Health Store (www.treeoflife.nu) which includes the following products: WETechWater Filter, Tachyonized Adrenal Support, Tachyonized Sleepy Z, Tachyonized KLA, Tachyonized Siberian Ginseng, Proguard, Antioxidant Supreme, Oxygenated Water, Crystal Energy, Personal Air Supply and the Micro-Harmonizer. If you wait long enough, it might not be an issue, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Rand Paul Launches Campaign to End the TSA
05/03/2012 - 09:17

Senator Rand Paul has issued a press release in which he vows to lead the charge to “end the TSA” and put a stop to the needless and humiliating groping of toddlers and grandmothers.

Earlier this year, Paul was detained by the TSA after refusing to submit to an invasive pat down after already having passed through a body scanner. The incident prompted national headlines and caused the Senator to miss his flight.

“It’s time to END the TSA and get the government’s hands back to only stealing our wallets instead of groping toddlers and grandmothers,” says Paul in the statement.

The accompanying article sent out to Campaign for Liberty members encourages recipients to sign a petition in support of Rand Paul’s ‘End the TSA’ bill.

Basically the airline I generally use (which is Delta) operates such that the body scan is the normal procedure for security but if the line gets backed up (the body scan takes more time than the metal detector generally) then they will start sending people thru the metal detector to speed up the process. I have been lucky like that before but the last time I flew I was not so lucky. An agent asked me to go through the scan to which I responded I declined to do so and she indicated I had to sit and wait for a female TSA agent to become available for a pat down.

After about five minutes she arrived, I had my pat down (which isn't too invasive), she then applied a solution on a wipe to her gloves which I assume was to check for drug residue and she then let me on my way. The protocol was pretty much the same for all legs of my flight. They cannot "make" you go through the scan but once you are chosen to do the scan they will not allow you to opt for the metal detector. So, you just hope, wish and pray you are a lucky one and if you are not then make sure to allow enough time so you can play the waiting game.
