Date: May 29, 2012 05:46PM well, to be honest, it actually took me less than 20 minutes to feel it act up. I first felt a tingling sensation on the chest area. It was like having little stars or sparks. It was as if something was happening in the nerves or something in points I did not know existed (it wasn't the heart but would like to know what was that about). First I was worry it was poison. Then I felt much better and thought that maybe it was filling a deficiency. I walked and had more energy. Later, I went swimming and had a very very nice workout even though I had not eaten much. I slept great. Surely, the difference was the lugol solution and not my imagination.
I think the tingling sensation happened because I did not stir the drops in the water. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 05/29/2012 05:52PM by Panchito. Re: Lugols iodine solution

Date: May 29, 2012 05:58PM from what i understand, iodine is a stimulant to mucous membranes as well as the heart, which explains the reaction.
whether or not you were or are no longer deficient is difficult to determine without further information. Re: Lugols iodine solution

Date: May 29, 2012 06:05PM Would it be like a caffeine stimulant? If so, maybe it would have a sink phase (less energy), but the effect of the Lugol stuff lasts for days or weeks. It may even get a better effect two days later. No negative effects. Re: Lugols iodine solution

Iodine is not a central nervous system stimulant in the way that caffeine is. [www.vegankingdom.co.uk] Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 05/29/2012 06:42PM by powerlifer.
