Two questions

1. Can anyone identify the black fruit for me? It's growing on hedges in south Florida & is rather bland & dry & white inside (see the one I bit into).
2. Why is there an extra digit before the 9 on the PLU code of the cantaloupe? I bought it at Whole Foods. I was unable to find the answer from Google.

I believe the 9 is for organic, I thought is was supposed to be at the end though. I am sure the boss at WFM could tell you or even a good cashier. I live in Delray fL. but do not reconize the fruit, even though I should lol.

A 9 prefix indicates organic certification. Truly no idea about the fruit, sorry smiling smiley
