lemon cure

apart from following a mostly raw diet I also eat 5 whole raw lemons daily,including the skin. I hope this will help alkalise me quicker?
In France this is known as the Cure de Citron. Any thoughts?

Do people here agree with people such as Robert O young who consider the lemon the most therapeutic of fruits?

I consume one lemon in a quart of water every single morning.
Its supposed to be very alkalizing.
And lemon is anionic,meaning it attracts heavy metals out of your body. ??

I think I have one of this guys books. Don't know anything about him that I can remember but take a look at quackwatch. The doctors are just trying to debunk his success, I don't know. [www.quackwatch.org]

Anytime I see someone targeting a certain food it makes me think, this is a bit obsessive. Not the best thing for your teeth either to do every day.

I usually include a lemon when I am juicing greens. I think lime may be equally alkalinizing but it will not damage the teeth.

just make sure you are taking in lots of greens, green juice, smoothie, and salad because the reason lemons are alkalyzing to the blood is because our bodies have to neutralize the citric acid with calcium, so if you were calcium deficient, then you would be taking from your bones much like coffee. BUT if you take in lots of vitamin and mineral rich foods every day then you are in the clear. just make sure to eat lots of greens!
