each human kidney has the capacity to do 10 times the actual amount of service which is required by the body.

if the both of them will make good food choices (vegan, raw and juicing) and combine their foods properly they hopefully shall live happily ever after.

so many people haven't got a clue about how to stay healthy let alone the discipline to put their know how into action and maintain their commitment to the discipline of great health.

i hope someone can get a message out to them about detox, cleansing and healthy eating. the cause which caused the loss of his kidney is more than likely still there and if he doesn't make the adjusment ...well the generous loving gift will be in jeopardy.

someone please find a way to warn this well intentioned newly wed couple.

If one kidney has that sort of capacity, then why do we need two???

How so la-veronique? Like it depends on how large the body is? Maybe it's just a spare LOL. Hmmm, we do have two of most other organs, so why not a spare liver, and heart too? grinning smiley

Geoff...

nice to hear from you!

G_D definitely obviously has an asture handle on how to creat all sorts of stuff so i can only speculate on possible reasons for 2 when each has such an incredible capacity.

first off... the 10x capacity is based on the breakdown of internal wastes procuce form dead cells and other protein-(nitrogenous poducing decompostion) without calculating the additional load from diet.

the SAD present day use of heavy protein consumption easily taxes the capacity of evan both kidneys fo perhaps G_D foresaw the need for backup far in advance.

in addition periods of illness and natural detox intervals may necessitate the need for additional capacity exceeding the "one kidney" seemingly more than enough capacity.

living judiciously with the laws of nature we could easily obviate the need for all the extra capacity...but not many in the world are aware of thew laws let alone having the willpower and concern to follow them.

let us all who have evan part of the equation together be thankful and ever vigilant to respect and take care of the incredible human machine which enables us to traverse this life on earth.

P.s didnt have time to do spellcheck..please forgive the typos.

hey jalantuan

JJ just answered your question
and i agree
cuz it depends on the person's diet, including any illnesses etc.
also depends on the environment in which you live in as well ( like if you lived in chernobyl during the nuclear disaster, perhaps 10 kidneys might have come in handy)

since its a detoxing organ, i guess the grand design was consciously intelligent enough ( astoundingly so) to foresee that it might need a bit of back up to prevent death via toxemia
