Date: October 21, 2006 10:42PM If you're refering to the average SAD eaters out there - I'd have to say that your estimate of 25% is WAY generous! I know people who go for days without a salad or piece of fresh fruit! I agree with goldsplinter - 10% at MOST.

Date: October 21, 2006 10:45PM I would guess 10% also. Lettuce, tomato and possible onion on a burger. A few bites from a dinner salad that comes with an entre. And most would seem to be mashed potatos, frech fries, baked potato or something else fried/baked/broiled/boiled.

Date: October 24, 2006 06:07AM Given that a person eating SAD could be eating 3500 calories, 10% would be 350 calories, or the equivalent of 7 oranges or 4 bananas or 4 heads of lettuce. My guess is 2% is more likely. Re: What percent raw is the average non-raw person?

Date: October 24, 2006 08:23AM I think 2% is about right. Maybe a high of 5% for some "healthy" eaters. Re: What percent raw is the average non-raw person?

Date: October 24, 2006 10:14AM Depends what time frame we are taling about, but I know people who go days without eating anything raw. 3 cooked meals a day.
So 0 - 10% daily is the average range I would say. Re: What percent raw is the average non-raw person?

Date: October 24, 2006 10:24AM It can vary, but I'd say the above numbers are close. Often, there is raw food mixed in with the cooked.....but not in large amounts calorie wise. Perhaps 5% at the low-end....and 20% at the top end would be a good guess.

Date: October 24, 2006 07:04PM I've attending meals prepared by cooked food eaters where there was 0% raw food. I think for some a few pieces of fruit a week (or month...) are all the raw food they eat. But I also know non-vegan cooked food eaters who eat maybe as high as 30% raw foods.

Date: October 27, 2006 05:06PM I haven't made the jump yet - but I think that 25 - 30% is a good guess for myself.
I have a lot of fresh fruit in my diet anyways. at least 2-4 pieces a day. Veggies on the other hand is another story. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
