Date: July 23, 2012 09:11AM One bad thing about rice is arsenic, and evidently there is more of it in the brown rice than in white. I've dropped brown rice for this reason, sprouted or not (and only occasionally have white rice when im in japan). >Banana ice-cream rocks!< Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 07/23/2012 09:12AM by chat. i had forgotten about it even though i had posted an article here prior also, i read about lectin and bacillus cereus on this site and it is potentially an issue that relates to raw rice [www.livestrong.com] what are other peoples' opinions about this or graham's belief that grains are not good for one's health... is he just talking about cooked rice or even sprouted rice? Not everything but some particular things like rice and arsenic (bad), or buckwheat and protein (good) and so on. >Banana ice-cream rocks!< Re: brown rice sprouted

Date: July 26, 2012 05:29AM Sprouted rice in a smoothie makes for a nice silky texture. And yes, l have sprouted rice quite a lot, but there are better sprouts out there than rice sprouts, but it is nice to blend up sometimes for a change. The problem with most rice is that it has been dehulled so it is much harder to sprout and spoils easily. Re: brown rice sprouted

It's well known that base-forming foods (fruit/veg) are healthier than acid-forming foods (all animal products/grains).
