Date: September 28, 2012 07:38PM I heard that rubbing the inside of a banana skin on your teeth can whiten them... not sure how true that is but maybe worth a try! Re: Natural and safe ways to whiten teeth?

Date: September 28, 2012 08:10PM Thanks! I eat bananas almost every day so it's worth a try. It's interesting because whatever that substance is on the peel's inside it makes your mouth all slithery... Re: Natural and safe ways to whiten teeth?

Date: October 03, 2012 02:04PM I've been collecting supplies to make toothpowder, included is powdered orange peel for whitening. Also, MSM is supposedly good for this. Neem is used in quite a few natural tooth pastes as well. People have been commenting on how white my teeth are, I think they look normal, not bleached like they've been whitened. I don't do anything special at all aside from an occasional cleaning at the dentist and the odd use of baking soda here and there.
I've read the strawberry and banana things too, wonder if and how those actually work. Re: Natural and safe ways to whiten teeth?

Date: October 04, 2012 02:17AM Hi, Coco!
I bought this aryuvedic toothpaste with a bunch of stuff in it. I am not gaga over it--it's licorice and I am not so over the moon about that flavor in toothpaste. I am not sure if it has neem in it. I might try to get the oil or buy another toothpaste with neem in it... Re: Natural and safe ways to whiten teeth?

Date: October 08, 2012 08:51PM Living Libations products would be so easy to make on your own, I've taken my list of ingredients from some of their products. I had to buy all the ingredients which was a bit of an investment but I'll be supplying all my friends and family with jars of the stuff so it was worth it. Re: Natural and safe ways to whiten teeth?

Coco, Where did you buy your ingredients? One time I tried brushing my teeth with Neem but it tasted quite bad. I think the bottle I had was meant for external use only. Date: October 16, 2012 07:10PM I bought some at a health food store and ordered others online. Mountain Rose is a good company. The bad tasting ingredients are only added in small amounts, it doesn't have to be pure neem or lots of msm to work, that would be unbearably untasty, blech.
