I actually spend less at my local store
One cellery bunch : 1.29
two pounds of carrots: 1.29
One cabbage Head: 1.49
Two pounds of banana: 0.98
That is for enough juice for the day and smoothies.

Another variation:
I do buy raw sunflower seeds at walmart 10 pound bag will cost about 5 dollars enough for growing indoor sunflower greens for days which make you buy less of the above list and give you more nutritious greens for smoothies. Seeds may not be organic but freshness is more important than organic in my book.

Another savings is that I dry fast 40 hours per week.

You're eating 700 calories a day, right?

we are talking about raw fresh cleansing foods not dates no matter how exotic they are. They are expensive because you cannot find them at the local food store

I buy the dates at Costco. They also sell much cheaper dates there, but they are not fresh. To give you an idea, at Costco I also buy 6 jumbo romain lettuce for $3.50 (all 6)

I would recommend organic produce to anyone taking on a raw diet.

Where I live, organic is only available in very limited products. If I see them I buy them. But I prefer to buy in bulk. I easily eat 4-5000 calories a day.

I prefer organic indoor greens. Commercial organic produce is overrated in general

My weight is stable at 172 lbs (5'11"winking smiley. The fat is going down but not the weight. I eat 4 times a day always at the same times. My first "meal" is light (only juices but a whole lot). The other three meals fill me always all the way. I eat till full the same time each day. Never eat in between meals or snack around.

The body adjusts to the routine of whatever fits your life cycle. At first, times may not seem optimal but the body adjusts. For example, the body adjusts to sleep times. You can change them but it takes time.

Most people don't think about all the soft tissue and soft muscles. I think thoses are the most valueable parts of the body. All other parts are there to support them, even the brain. Once you got the soft tissue well fed, and once you got good cycles (sleep, eating, bathroom, etc), the body "resonates" in harmony and you'll feel really good. I think it is bad to only focus on the modern aspect of the brain feeling good. The modern focus is on money, left side brain, intelligence, etc, at the expense of the rfest of the body.

It doesn't seem like enough food to me, but if you're listening to your body and it says, "yes", then I can't argue!
