Raw Sprouted Brown Rice - little bit freaked out

Date: March 10, 2013 09:23PM Just made my first sprouted anything. Saw my first little "tail" this morning and I celebrated in the kitchen all by myself.
However, now I'm freaking myself out a bit about actually eating them. The reason being is that I just got this recipe off of a YouTube and frankly I have no idea if what I did was safe or unsafe. This gal says she has great results doing things this way, however, I just want to be sure I haven't done anything incorrectly and so cause unseen, ad bacteria to grow. This is the YouTube: [www.youtube.com] Her name is CoconutMamma What I thought I understood her to say is that once you've soaked your rice, you put it in a jar with a screen lid, drain the water and leave it slightly tilted upside down for 2 or 3 days (no rinsing during this period from my understanding). So this is the way I did it. Safe?? I don't know for certain, so I said I'm freaked out now. Just need to be assured I guess by folks who know much more about sprouting than I do. Thanks so much all, Mindy Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 03/10/2013 09:23PM by mindy66. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
