It looks like a lot of fun. I think the cost is around $1K or so. The only thing I wonder about is when I look at pics and videos of past fests, the crowd looks very young--20-somethings. As a "mature" woman, I would feel a bit out of place. I can't understand why there isn't more diversity in the raw foods movement. Re: Is anyone going/has gone to the Woodstock Fruit Festival?

Date: April 12, 2013 07:03PM I was thinking about going because I like to experience everything. The only problem is that I might be scheduled for a meditation retreat at the exact same time. Still need to fnd out. I'm sure there are plenty of middle-agers there BW. You should go. Re: Is anyone going/has gone to the Woodstock Fruit Festival?

Ouch. LOL Yeah, yeah...I would love to go...I actually will have the money but am about to begin student teaching so no can do right at the moment. If you look at the pics, everyone looks very young. Nothing against it in the least. Funny thing, though...when I was their age, I enjoyed the company of older folk. I was never big on being around younger people for some reason. However, these souls seem like people I could probably relate to. HH, YOU should go and then report back to us! Re: Is anyone going/has gone to the Woodstock Fruit Festival?

Date: April 12, 2013 07:26PM Maybe the crowd is younger for the same reason you can't go...older people tend to have more responsibilities. Re: Is anyone going/has gone to the Woodstock Fruit Festival?

I don't really know about that because even those who are in the public eye with raw foods and 80-10-10 tend to be young: Kristina, Megan Elizabeth, 40 Below Fruity...Matt M. and Angela are younger than I am! If you notice, there is not a lot of ethnic/racial/socio-economic diversity, either. Re: Is anyone going/has gone to the Woodstock Fruit Festival?

Date: April 12, 2013 10:42PM Have you seen those long video recaps from the 2012 festival? There were lots of middle-aged and older folks there. I understand your concern but even those younger people aren't the typical "younger people". Not like you're going to hang out with the mall crowd. I don't think young vegans would be ageist lol.
[www.youtube.com] [www.youtube.com] Skim through that first video from liferegenerator.... he tours the whole place and you'll see young people are actually the minority. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 04/12/2013 10:43PM by fruitylou. Re: Is anyone going/has gone to the Woodstock Fruit Festival?

Date: April 13, 2013 02:34AM Woodstock is all about the underlying spirit of things. The Mandelbrot Set looks at the complex number plane mathematically to reveal this, perhaps a refection of the underlying spirit of the Cosmos. Re: Is anyone going/has gone to the Woodstock Fruit Festival?
