worms, probiotics, dairy

this isn't exactly about raw food but i'm hoping someone can help me out here because i'd like to keep it as raw and natural as possible..

today i went to a doctor who did a computer analysis of my body and said i have worms which are eating up all the nutrients in my body. he said the only way to to get rid of them is to kill them with a drug.. i'm wary of this because won't my body just try and detox that drug from its system? is there a natural way to get rid of worms? i just can't seem to believe that the only way to get rid of worms is with chemicals and toxins??

he also told me that taking probiotics doesn't work and that i need to eat more fiber because the good bacteria already in my body will feed on it and grow. and he said the bacteria in probiotics can't even survive long enough to benefit you... ??

and he said i need to eat sour cream and cottage cheese but i am seriously doubting this??? i thought dairy products were really bad for you and that your body can't absorb tha calcium or nutrients from them?

any help on any of this would be greatly appreciated!! thank you smiling smiley

Well you shouldn't listen to your doctor first off lol. You need to know what kind of worm? I am guessing it's not a very serious one or else he would have been sending you to a specialist, this is good. Maybe pin worms? check my spelling on that. Probiotics do work but not for worms? If he said they don't work period then run for the hills because even the most ignorant doctors now know better. Fiber good, Dairy bad. Drugs weaken the immune system but in some extreme events one might have to take them. I find this very interesting so please report back.

he's not actually my doctor lol, my mom just made an appt for me and i went.

sorry for the confusion. each issue is seperate, i just put it all in one post lol.

i just wanted to know if probiotics taken as pills/capsules work or not bc according to him they don't work at all

and i don't know what kind of worms they are.. maybe i should ask but i don't even want to go back after he told me to start eating dairy

also he told me i should eat eggs and avocado for breakfast every morning, so i had a kale salad and added an egg and half an avocado to it and now i feel so tired... so i'm thinking it's better to listen to my body than to him

Well it dosent matter if he is your doctor or not?

I answered the probiotic question?

Why would you not go back and get the info. you paid for?! and if nothing else tell him what an idiot he is lol. This is not to say he dosent have some good advice but I just detest doctors.

You need to know what kind of worms you have! This is also a good indication that you have other infections that doctors don't understand. You should also mention where the worms are? And perhaps what kind of machine he used to detect them.

Halfinlove--do you have parasites? If so, you could get a tincture of wormwood and do it yourself. It's rather vague what was said so I haven't a clue whether he's legit but it is counter-intuitive (to the point of being incredibly odd) for a doc to suggest DAIRY as an antidote to worms. eye rolling smiley
