Removing pomegranate stains from fingernails

I love eating pomegranates! I recently got a box of 6 from Costco, and they are huge. One pom is about 4 servings!!

I had forgotten how pom juice stains my fingernails, making purple marks. It looks like I've been digging in the dirt or something. It's pretty awful.

Any ideas on how to get this staining off my fingernails without resorting to bleach? If bleach even works...this is mighty powerful staining here!

If so, please let me know. I'd hate to have to use plastic gloves to peel and eat the poms.

Thanks!
Jackie

I've use apple cider vinegar (acidic) and it works most
of the time.
