Soaking nuts and seeds

Date: November 17, 2006 07:04PM If you soak nuts or seeds overnight and do not get round to using them in the morning. What is the best way to store them (as I have read not to soak them for too long). So instead of leaving them during the day still soaking, what is the best thing to do?
Drain and leave draining room temp? Drain and put into the fridge? Drain and put them into dark place to sprout (even if you didn't want sprouted)? Rinse and keep soaking room temp? Rinse and keep soaking in the fridge? Pls share your ideas. Thanks John Re: Soaking nuts and seeds

-If its a small seed (like sunflower) that you want to actually sprout, then drain, rinse, and keep covered in a cool-room temperature spot. For almonds or larger nuts, simply drain and rinse (and/or peel...if you are of a mind) then store in a container in the fridge. Eat within 1 week (you CAN rinse again just prior to eating to re-dampen). -David Z. Mason Re: Soaking nuts and seeds

So ... are you saying that it's fine to rinse and drain any nuts and seeds (once they have been soaked) and store in a container in the fridge for up to a week? Thanks John Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
