Haha cool, i love dry skin brushing for stimulating the lymphatic system and rebounding is also great for the same. Two very powerful tools for keeping the lymph from becoming sluggish. Theres only a few places that are good for hair mineral analysis from what ive researched. The ARL is the place which doesn't pre-wash the hair as far as i know its the best. Meditation is great isn't it ? Ive been doing it for a few years now but still feel like im a beginner. I am really enjoying Lilian Edens guided meditations on youtube at the moment, nothing switchs off my sympathetic nervous system better than these meditation videos. Deep slow breathing is also another great tool for switching off the sympathetic fight of flight branch of the nervous system. Its this stress response which stops many people from healing, they stay in a constant cycle of fight of flight stimulation also known as sympathetic dominance. The body needs to be in a rested parasympathetic state to support digestion, elimination, recovery and healing. Very important, too many doctors overlook autonomic nervous system balance unfortunately. Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 01/01/2014 07:36PM by powerlifter. Re: New Year - Raw Resolutions

Date: January 01, 2014 07:45PM Every year I always try to make each year better and since I’m turning 60 this year, I’m going to spend a little more time with the weights to prove to people that there is plenty of Protein in a Raw Vegan Diet.
As far as the Hair Analysis, I usually don’t take what Doug says about a lot of things seriously because it’s obvious that he is quick to pooh-pooh things he clearly has NOT researched, but I’ve always been intrigued by his comment below and to this day I still have not tried to confirm or deny this statement. Every day I learn so much that I dig a deeper hole I’ll never get out of because the more you know - the more you know you don’t know, hence the Socratic Irony. So if anyone can shed more light on Hair Analysis, I’d appreciate it keeping in mind that if Doug really spoke with the originator of the system and was a teacher of his, it’s hard to dispute what the originator of the system has to say. Date: January 01, 2014 07:52PM Strength training is just any exercise which goal is to increase the strength of muscles and often power.
Most often than not, free weights are used for this goal and the usual compound movements such as bench press, squat, deadlift, bent over rows, dips, over-head presses etc are the usual common multi-joint/muscle exercises used to increase functional strength. Isolation exercises such as bicep curls etc are virtually useless when it comes to increasing functional strength. Thats not to say that free weights are necessary, if you don't have access to a gym or equipment then there are plenty of methods to increase strength, you just have to be a little crafty. One way is manipulating the leverage of bodyweight exercises. For example instead of the regular squat, you can try one legged pistol squats. These are very difficult to execute and require a high degree of stabilization and muscular strength to complete the movement. One arm push ups are another way of making the regular push up harder. Handstand pushups are nother way of hitting the shoulder and triceps hard via a bodyweight no equipment needed exercise. Proper dips are also a great bodyweight pushing exercise for hitting the triceps, pectoral and shoulder muscles, you can add weighted belt to increase the resistance. Pull/Chin-Ups are another compound exercse which involve the biceps/back mostly, you can add the same dipping belt to these, to increase resistance. Multi-joint/muscle compound movements are what you want to focus on for increasing strength and functional fitness. These movements are replicated in real life. Edited 4 time(s). Date: January 01, 2014 07:59PM Hair tissue mineral analysis is not 100%, a soft tissue mineral analysis is about as good as you will get for a reliable body level of these metals.
However it is invasive and rarely done. Hair tissue mineral analysis can be very helpful, is relatively cheap but shouldn't be relied on alone for diagnostic purposes. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 01/01/2014 08:02PM by powerlifter. Re: New Year - Raw Resolutions

2. Spending more time out in nature, can't wait to go up to my family's cabin, just myself and my Siberian husky, so secluded and just learned there's a few wild apple trees on the property and a few other 'goodies' I can't remember. 3. More running and resistance exercise 4. More sessions of colon hydrotherapy 5. Obtaining my bachelor's degree in Holistic Nutrition, moving on to master's. 6. Meditation 7. Staying hydrated on coconut/distilled water, not getting lazy with it 8. Systematic undereating Re: New Year - Raw Resolutions

Why not into distilled water? There are a lot of myths surrounding it, and this is intentional.. check out this video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=iO57B0vrDJU, Andrew Norton Webber also provides a lot of interesting insight and addresses the myths and benefits of distilled water. Exotic Superfoods sells coconut water, although quite expensive (http://www.exoticsuperfoods.com/collections/all) Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 01/02/2014 04:52AM by jtprindl. Date: January 03, 2014 10:37PM You can find those raw black Puruvian olives even on Amazon. It will probably take me several more years to get through the half pound of them. I have to be really hungry to trick myself into eating them and even then I usually transfer them to the floor for the dog who usually snorts loudly and walks away from them too.
