Today-

bananas, lots of fresh orange juice, celery juice, tomatoes, apples, cantaloupes.

I've been eating raw since 2006 so I'm expecting to drop dead any moment now, probably right after this post, from lack of zinc, calcium, selenium, protein, EFAs, ABC, NBC, CBS and other things that are lacking in my diet as was so concernedly pointed out by the Internet Search Doctor Dr Powerliar.

Yesterday -

* Water
* Smoothie (banana, bok choy, swiss chard, sprouts, cilantro, bee pollen, hemp seeds, coconut water, fresh beet/carrot/kale/apple juice, rice tocotrienols, pine pollen, rhodiola crenulata)
* grapes
* dried figs & brazil nuts
* banana ice cream w/pistachio butter
* apples w/raisin spread & raw goat cheese
* raw bread and sunflower spread
* arugula

I dry fast from 6:00 at night until 1:00 the next day.

In the summer, I have raw goat milk blended with banana as my last meal rather than raw goat cheese. When I'm 100% vegan, I lose weight - down to 75. It's a conundrum. I'd rather be 100% vegetarian and look like a regular person than 100% vegan and look like a walking skeleton.

How tall are you guys and how much do you weigh?

Before you were raw, when you were on SAD, were you overweight, underweight or just right?

I was about 205. I'd say that was overweight although it didn't feel like it at the time.

Well, my theory is this --

For those who were overweight on SAD, 100% raw vegan is great for them and they become a normal weight. (Think Angela Stokes and David Wolfe)

For those who were an average weight on SAD, at 100% raw vegan, they get too skinny.

For those who were skinny on SAD, at 100% raw vegan, they end up skin and bones - that would be me sad smiley

I was 100% raw vegan for five years.

Do you do any weight-bearing exercise?

Kidraw, if you still want to be 100% raw and not too skinny you can always add some living stone ground oils into your diet. Centrifuged coconut oil works well, too.

I was thin when I went raw and got too thin on hclf diet. Now my weight has come back to more normal. I'm a bit under 5'8" and weigh 117, which I'm quite comfortable with, although my doctor thinks I should gain five pounds.

I have a problem with oils that a small amount, like a teaspoon, gives me a headache. But I think I'll try adding in a half teaspoon of coconut oil. How much would you suggest adding to the diet to gain weight? I have the Artisana coconut oil - is that centrifuged? What's the difference between centrifuged and just plain raw coconut oil?

Thanks for that advice.

You will put on weight by adding more muscle.

No, I only do Yoga. I have a problem with my muscles or tendons or something - because I had Lyme Disease three times, it killed my arms and legs - they ached for years afterward - and I have no strength in them now. Even if I do exercises for a period of time, my legs hurt when I run and my arms hurt when raise them for any length of time.

Well if you don't use your muscles for long periods of time, and then start doing so, they're going to ache when you first start up again because they're not used to being worked as much. As time goes on and you gradually start using them more, they will ache less and recover much faster.

Powerliar--Lol at anon101 aka John Roses second account taking another cheap shot, can't resist can you John ?

If thats the typical variety of your diet anon101 i.e just juice and fruit then you'd do well to listen to some of my posts on zinc and nutritional balance.

You still think I'm JR, lol. Boy, you're one crazy heap of bat crap.

As I explicitly told you already, I don't need health advice from you. I spit on your advice and if you were in the vicinity I'd spit on you too,

So you'd be violent by spitting on me how mature of you, all because i have a different opinion on diet.

Jeez what a rationale peace loving vegan you are proving to be John Rose.

Whether you're vegan or not is irrelevant, you are proving yourself to be a right idiot here over a topic like diet.

Saying you'd spit on me lol, how old are you 10 years old ?

powerlifter, clearly anon has listened to your posts and as stated below, is probably dead now. which would mean that JR is dead too.

I forgot that I also add a starch like carrots or potatoes, and lately I'm adding aloe gel. As a matter of fact, I have to go make my smoothie now smiling smiley

Smoothies are great transitional foods but shouldn't really be considered nutritious or health foods.

Sounds good but I wouldn't mix nuts and seeds with fruit.

Ive never really had any issues with such combination myself. Infact my body seems to respond well to mixing proteins and fats with carbohydrate rich foods.

The only fruits which caused me problems were watermelon, bananas and dates in excess on there own.

Powerlifter, there is a prerequisite on this thread for criticism or recommendations like your zinc comment.

And that is that you must post your own food log.

that is the law.

anon101, you're killin' me! rofl.

that linwoods package is funny -
"any meal at any time of the day"!!!
Thanks for your permission to eat what I want, when I want to, Linwoods.

I didn't even know this thread existed, until another member PM'd me to say anon101 was at it again with his insults.

The fact that you support and in your words "you're killin' me! rofl" because anon101 is going to spit on me, only shows what an idiot you are too.

PL, why do you assume so much?
The other comments made me laugh, not the spitting part.
It's just a joke - unless he has spit on you.
and you two are funny - you both make me laugh.
I don't understand how you don't know a thread exists while posting in it.

You're welcome!

In my experience Artisana, and other brands of non- centrifuged coconut oil gave me stomach problems but I'm fine with the centrifuged version that comes from an organic plantation in the Philippines. It is branded at a few websites but the rawfoodworld.com , which is out of it at this time, has the most complete explanation of some of the differences ...

I'll get back to you with more info latter as I'm in a bit of a rush just now.
