Advice-New to Fruitatarian

Hello All!

So after much bloating and restless sleep by eating waaaaaay to much gourmet raw food, gaining 7 pounds and my eczema worse than ever, i am going to try to do 80% fruits. I have done so for the past two days and feel great!!

However, I have a major sweet tooth (from SAD) and I eat a whole jar (10 oz) of dates, a day, with my fruit.

Is that bad?

Will I gain weight?

Any advice for someone new to becomming a fruitatarian??

Thanks Guys, Ciao!!

Love you,
Jamie smiling smiley

I am not a fruitarian but a jar of dates is not that too much sugar?
There are so many other fruits

I hear you. You CAN get frustrated if you want to...but just set small goals and keep them. Goals that you are PREPARED and MOTIVATED to do on a daily basis....rather than struggling with large goals that are onerous (been trying to work in that word all week!) LOL.

Practical advice:

1) Practice better food combining / simpler combinations (or NO combinations!)
2) Try not eating after dark for a better night's sleep.
3) Avoid foods that have been processed, dried, dehydrated or packaged for 1 month and see if that makes a difference.
4) Eat a MEASURED amount of fat in the form of fresh raw nuts or avocado with every meal.

-If you are EVER uncomfortable (in a difficult way) then you are setting your goals too high. If you've made a lifetime commitment to a healthy way of living.....then what's the hurry? The small stream cuts the grand canyon - given time and a lack of failure mentality.

-It seems to me that your desire to gorge on more processed sweets and fats is entirely normal at your transition period.

-If you are worried about gaining weight, get in good light exercise every day...and eat more / smaller meals (Perhaps 4-6 per day).

-Just some suggestions / thoughts. What do YOU think?

You may also want to brush your teeth after eating.

I am fruitarian and I eat dates. I go thru phases. Sometimes I feel its bad other times ,its good. I like them, why not? I like MEDJOOL..You can eat whatever you want as long as it keeps ou on this diet, then over time you will be attracted more to what is healthy
