Date: March 20, 2014 08:32PM Hi, I'm taking a trip to Thailand soon. I don't know what level of regulation other countries hold their food to; anyone know the level of pesticides in Thai produce and whether it's safe or not? Re: Thailand produce - safe or not?

Date: March 23, 2014 07:23PM There are so many insects in Thailand, it's hard to find organic. The department store Tesco Lotus has organic, though they call it hygienic. Sometimes you can find greens that are hydroponically grown, and they might be organic.
As for fruit, in the open markets, that food is sprayed. Watermelon are injected with some kind of drug that prevents them from rotting in a tropical environment, as the really are a desert plant. Eat fruit with skins that you normally peel. Re: Thailand produce - safe or not?
