"Have you ever tapped on dozens of watermelons at the grocery store to find the sweetest out of the bunch—only to get one home and find out it’s a sour dud? Well, in less than a year, you’ll be able to tell which melon to buy, thanks to a USB drive–size pocket device." [www.takepart.com] Re: Game Changer For Big Ag Lifeless, Unripe Produce Market?

Well I'm sure you'd have to open the watermelon to get a good reading - the thing isn't an x-ray laser. A big part of it's near future, IMO, is special applications. Every parent with a kid who is allergic to peanuts will want it, for instance. Everyone with gluten intolerance will want one - things like that. Use your imagination a little, Panchito. You don't want to be counted in the herd of people who laughed and said "Why would anyone want a cell phone, there are phones all over the place", do you? They will probably make their money off of the selling calibration sets over the cloud and keep the price of the devise itself low. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
