b12 supplements that cause anxiety-irritability

if you suffer from axiety, check your b12 supplement as the culprit (that is, if you take one). Too much b12 causes anxiety (and irritability) in many people. The best b12 supplement that does not cause anxiety is hydroxy b12 (hydroxycobalamin). Check it out on google or do your own research.

Is it synthetic? I would caution against using synthetic vitamins long-term and for B12, I would recommend a soil-based B12 (https://www.hippocratesstore.org/root/b-12-forte.htm)

I used to love the Hippocrates B-12 but the mcg are too low. 4mcg is not good enough if you have real issues. It used to be 2000mcg and then 400mcg then 4mcg. This is simply not enough for severe issues. Just be careful if you have severe issues and have tests done. If you are HEALTHY and switching to raw then it should be acceptable. I have not been able to get a straight answer out of Brian C. about this. He keeps telling me, that is the fda recommended amount or something?

Used to be 2,000??? That is extremely high. That doesn't sound right to me. Mine have always been 8 mcg and are 333% rda of B12. And when you have Nori and Chlorella you can double B12 levels over conventionally tested vegan levels (nori and chlorella is never enough, but it can be a good top up). Besides, hydrilla algae is said to have 475 mcg (7,750%) of B12 per tablespoon, it is supposed to be the real B12, but l wouldn't bet any money on it.

Now the science literature reports vegans having good levels of B12 due to synthetic additions to food. It might be the case for vegans consuming some cooked food, but wouldn't be for raw vegans.

As I've said before my B12 is fine. I attribute this to the dirt on my yard grown veggies and seaweeds. I don't eat anything with synthetic added.

Yes it was 2000mcg, then 300-400 I forget. Then I thought it was 4 but you are saying 8, maybe they upped it a little, I will see if I have an old bottle laying around. It's common to see it in stores from 50 to 5000mcg. I have never seen a stand alone B-12 less than 500mcg that I can remember, but I wasn't really looking for that either so maybe there are some. Generally something as low as 8mcg would be in a multi.
I trust Brian but this is not for people with issues, this is just for the average person. GOL is 1000mcg!

I was having issues with my B-12 being low and was like, what's up? Then I looked at the bottle one day and could not believe that it went from 2000 to 400. I got another product at 1000mcg and did another test and it was back up. I have severe issues though so this would not be true for every one. I would be very interesting though if someone would do a test before and after using 8mcg.

I believe that if you are low and do a lot of exercise or something you will deplenish that rapidly. I don't understand how they can say that a few micrograms will last a person all day when as I understand it this is about as much as you have in your blood at any given time. B-12 is used to produce energy among other things, so what happens when you use that up. Even moron doctors give you far more than 8mcg. I don't know I will have to try and talk to Brian about this the next time I see him. I wish they would produce one with a higher dosage just for me lol or other peeps that need more. It's really a struggle to find a good living B-12 out there.
