Can I eat Dandelion flowers?

I know the leaves are edible, can I also eat the yellow flower? How about the white seeds a child likes to blow off? Can I eat the stem? Can I eat the root raw?

If I'm not mistaken, the entire weed is edible; root, stem, flower (when it's yellow), not sure about the seeds though.

You can eat it all. Best to dry the seeds and grow weed seed sprouts to get extra value and the highest quality weeds of all. You can also sprout thistle weeds.

sprouted dandelion > conventional dandelion

But if you sprout the weeds you will get much higher amounts of the phytochemicals and enzymes etc. The weed sprouts should have much less oxalic acid too.

If you have mature weeds you might want to also have brown seaweed so your body can break down the high levels of oxalic acid.

With the root you would want to cut it into thin slithers and soak it for a day or two. the root raw?

Look into the history of the naming and genocide campaign against "noxious weeds" and the history of the major player chemical companies, the direct descendants of the East India Co., etc., and you will be well rewarded.

These systematically denigrated "noxious weeds" are the most valuable gifts from God to us to use as food. IMO.

Yes indeed. Weeds also have a unique impact on the brain that no other foods have. Weed juice is a very special treat, and there nothing like a weekly winter fast on 1 gallon of high quality weed juice. Some of the the weeds are truely wonderful gifts to mankind.

But of course the real golden nugget is the grasses. It puts the sunshine in your day like no other powerful greens, it tops the day and makes it glorious....puts that extra little magic in your day. It's not about the vitamin and minerals in wheatgrass, it is the unknown magic that it contains...perhaps it is the high chlorophyll content of this wonderful drink.

Here is Dan the Man talking about wheatgrass juice. It is not the pseudoscience he uses which makes this one of my favourite videos ever, it is the passion he puts into his talk. I love Dan the Man, he is a wonderful man.

WHEATGRASS, THE MIRACLE SUPERFOOD + How to Make Wheat Grass Juice !!

And...here is another character of the movement, another man full of pseudoscience, but a delightful character indeed. The inimitable `grass man'. Seeing the video from 1:24 - 1:30 is a must see where his unique character comes out, and seeing the video up until 1:40 shows his wild dreaming come out with massive exaggerations.

Also see from 2:29 - 2:35 where Grassman does his cowboy call and clenches his fist. smiling smiley This man gets super excited over grass like few could ever do.

Without no further ado, heeeers the Grassman.
