candida and fruit

While eating a SAD diet I had a lot of problems with candida. I was told to reduce my fruit intake as well as sugars an refined breads. It did seem to help. Since going vegetarian (and eating healthier overall) my candida has not returned. However, since leaning towards more raw foods lately I find myself eating tons of fruits, something I had avoided after my doctor warned me of eating too much of them. I have read about candida on webmd as well as they also advise against eating too much fruits. do you think that eating too much fruits and those who are fruitarians may be more likely to develop candida??? I don't feel like this the case--but I am curious to hear others opinions about this.

I just ran across this article which says that people deficient in candida develop cancer.

Candida's true function is to serve as a secondary digestive system,
when our primary digestive system is overwhelmed. As such, when I
hear someone say, "How do I kill my Candida?, I have a little cringe.

Specifically Candida metabolizes/digests/breaks down necrotic (dead)
material in our bodies. Debris which is to toxic or difficult for
digestive systems, is handled by Candida.

If a person is successful killing Candida, many times their weight
balloons and digestive challenges set in which get worse by the day.

This happens because if Candida is killed, then the necrotic (dead)
material Candida was digesting begins to backup and buildup.

In fact, many experts have noticed the symbiotic Candida/Cancer relationship.
Thinking through this for a moment, you'll immediately understand why these
two friends usually travel together.

When Cancer and Candida occur together, Cancer is usually a backup mechanism
which has kicked in because Candida has become overwhelmed. Cancer's purpose
is to "temporarily" partition mutating tissue from integrous (good) tissue,
until such time as our normal systems can break down and expel these.

As necrotic material builds up and our digestive system is overwhelmed, Candida
begins to overgrow to digest this material, so it can be safely eliminated. If
Candida fails, Cancer cells form to encapsulize and partition/store this necrotic
material for a future time when the body has recovered enough energy to break down
the "fibroid jails" Cancer uses as storage containers.

To answer the question: I had candida overgrowth symptoms (frequent yeast infections, stinky breath etc) before raw. No problems now. I eat lots of fruit. I am just one example of countless people who erradicated their candida overgrowth problem while endulging in their favourite food, fruit. So no, there is no need to worry.

And yes, candida per se is not evil.

Candida overgrowth is commonly experienced as a result of an unhealthy body environment, caused in turn by poor lifestyle choices.

According to Doug Graham and others - fat is the problem that causes candida not fruit.
The 80/10/10 book has all the scientific info on it.

Hope that helps clear things up...

My experiance is that when I was not eating nuts & seeds I didn't have a prob. When I re-introduced olive oil & nuts over thanksgiving - the next morning I had begining symptons again.... so I went directly back to no fats and now only have a 1/2 an avocado or a very small amount of pumpkin or squash seeds once a week and it's not an issue.

I notice Graham hasn't made his new book available on Amazon. I wonder if he is afraid of negative feedback.

Pau D' Arco tea is good at reducing overhigh candida levels. As is garlic. Coconut oil is supposed to be good too.
