Fruit sugar causes cramps?

Not sure if anyone may have an answer to this.

During my monthly cycle, having sweeter fruits like banana
or a smoothie directly causes very painful cramps, even if
I include greens in the smoothie.

Having a salad with dark leafy greens prevents the cramps
and non sweet fruit like tomato or avacado cause no pain.
Complex carbs like corn or sweet potato also cause no pain.

After having sweet fruit, the reaction is pretty immediate
within minutes.

So my question is, why? When almost all information I see
says low fat and more fruits and veg prevent cramps.

If anyone has any suggestions on what I could try eating
during that time, thatd be great! I need some high calorie
sources.

I'd love some raw recipes using corn and sweet potato or yams.
Thanks!

Is this something that runs in the family? You might have an intolerance. Or were you dehydrated, having just exercised?

There are some really nice corn salads you could make adding one or more of

cilantro, italian parsley, mint, dill, basil
tomato
green, red, yellow, orange bell pepper
zucchini or yellow summer squash
red onion
garlic
walnuts
cucumber
avocado
radish
lemon or lime
celery
cucumber
arugula
jalapeno

and this nice one for sweet potato i found on yummly
spiralized sweet potato and beet
green onion
pumpkin seed
garlic lime vinagrette

I think you'd have to massage the vinegar in or let it sit there for a while to partially break down the fibers.

You could also try jicama
jicama
cucumber
lime
red pepper
chili powder
carrot
red onion

Thank you for the lists! Much appreciated.

The sweet potato salad sounds interesting!
Do you happen to have a recipe for the vinaigrette?

I drink 1 liter of water with lemon juice before eating anything.
I hadn't exercised.

My sister also eats a high fruit diet and has no such issues.
I have no negative symptoms from fruit the rest of the month.

I had read somewhere that vitamin A helps with cramps which is
why I tend to load on the kale for those few days. Even with
the kale though, I can't eat the fruit.

It is interesting because I can't seem to find anyone with the
same problem. My sister thinks its weird.

It makes your muscles burn? How interesting..
Where do you get the muscle burn? I do not get
a burning feeling. Normally bananas make me feel
vibrant and happy.

The pain I get is more like muscle spasming.
And it is a very distinct, sharp pain that is on going.
The worst time, it went on for 2-3 hours straight.
I'd never experienced such pain before.

I've never had a plantain but always wanted to try.
Can you eat them raw?

This is very interesting.
Do you happen to have a list with fruits I
should avoid/eat?

I would like to at least try this and see if
I notice any kind of difference.

I'd try eating more organic or at least less sprayed produce. I have had back pain when eating nonorganic fruit.

Very interesting!

I am currently experimenting with the sugar content of fruit
and seeing how it affects me.

I ate half a watermelon for breakfast this morning and no negative
side effects or pain. I actually feel really good!

I am thinking that its the fruits high in sugar concentration
that are my problem.
