Thought some may find this interesting. [www.marketwatch.com] ---- snip ------ At a press conference, agency officials said that a preliminary risk assessment of the safety of consuming cloned cows, goats and pigs or their offspring indicates they are as safe to eat as conventionally-bred animals. ---- snip ----- Earlier this year, at the behest of the food industry, Congress tried to scrap more than 200 state laws on food safety and labeling in favor of uniform national standards. The bill successfully passed the U.S. House of Representatives but went nowhere in the Senate amid strong opposition from Democratic lawmakers. Re: Cloned Food

Date: December 29, 2006 11:38PM Things have to get worse before they get better right? Polls say people don't want cloned animal products... yet the fda doesn't want to require any special lableing. Maybe this will cause people to reconsider what they eat. I bet we'll start seeing the terms "NON-Cloned" or "Clone-Free" being used. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
