dehydrating foods

Hello all, I am a new raw fooder 3 weeks now, and have been successful so far. I have no cravings because I think my blood sugars are stable, and feel great. Apparently it is agreeing with me very much. I try as many new recipes as possible and experiment. I have the breakfast and lunch licked and am still trying to find/create new dinner foods. The issue i have is that the raw crakers/breads are so expensive so I want to make my own. I have an excaliber 2500 dehydrator, So here are my questions: does anyone find that the mixtures you are dehydrating are not totally dry on the underside nor are they as crunchy as the store bought. What is the difference? Also, when you spout seeds do they have a mild yeast smell to them, EX: quinoa? Last question, I made some raw cauliflower soup and it was good but very strong or green tasting, like chomping on the veg itself. Other than that I am very satisfied with RAW. My husband is not, so there are compromises. Bye Paula

Congrats on going raw! Do you flip the crackers halfway through the drying? I think that might help.
