Date: January 16, 2007 09:00PM whew, finally...here's the recipe from my files. it's from someone here ages ago.
yes, i could post this elsewhere but no one would see it and i know y'all have been looking for one for a while so here it is: EGGY SALAD cauliflower avocado parsley a little pinch of sea salt little tiny bit of oil put in a food processor, and blend...it will make an "eggless salad" type thing...tastes fantastic with leaves of lettuce sub mushrooms for cauliflower and dill for parsley here's another one from here long ago... 'NUTHER EGGY SALAD Take a not just ripe (not too mushy mushy) avocado, (I used a large one) cut in half. Take one half and cube in shell, scrape out. Take other half and mash well with fork. In bowl combine: 1 Tbs prepared mustard (or add mustard powder) 1 Tbs honey 2 tsp Braggs Cider Apple vinegar 1/2 tsp turmeric (optional) 1/8 tsp or less cumin (optional) 1/2 onion powder (I used fresh green onion minced) 1/2 tsp celery seed (I minced fresh celery, about tsp) 1/8 tsp ground pepper 1/4 c. minced celery (I used less) 1/4 tsp. green pepper (I omitted) 2 Tbs minced pickles (I omitted) Add mixture to avocado, chill. here's a tuna salad one: MOCK TUNA 1 cup almonds, soaked overnight 1/2 cup sunflower seed, soaked 4-6 hours 1/2 cup celery, minced red onion, minced, to taste 1/2 cup parsley, minced juice of one lemon 1/2 tsp sea salt Pulverize the almonds and sunflower seeds, and then add remaining ingredients and mix. AVOCADO MAYO 1 cup pine nuts 1 large avocado 1 tbs. lemon juice 2 tbs. apple cider vinegar 1 tsp. Celtic sea salt 6 medium pitted dates (3 packed tbs.) 1/2 clove garlic Blend until creamy. “Leslie's Hummus" 2 c sprouted chickpeas/garbanzos (i don't use raw chickpeas 'cause they are too toxic. lentils or marrowfat peas would sub well.) 1 tbls olive oil 1 heaping tsp sea salt 1/2 c water 1 tbls honey Dash of cayenne Pinch of basil 1 clove of garlic Mix all ingredients in blender. Roll it in cabbage leaves or try it on raw crackers ...and then I also squeezed in the juice of one lemon. dang, i have a lot of recipes. Re: egg salad
