Anyone else really grossed out by the amount of waste The Kardashians produce?

Quote

Not only does the constantly money-flaunting feel extremely passé, but can we all agree that the Kardashians probably produce around 2000x more waste than the average person/household? And that just... doesn't fly in 2020?

They act like they care about the Australian fires and climate change and Greta Thunberg, but then every single time they have a birthday party or a holiday party, they manufacture STORMI KNICK-KNACKS, STORMI BALLOONS (there were THOUSANDS at Stormi World), STORMI PLASTIC CUPS, STORMI PLASTIC STRAWS, ETC...

Like, congrats on giving up single-use plastic water bottles. But I feel like the kind of behavior they exhibit (not to mention the constant private jet travel and lavish consumerism/cars) cancels that out? I mean, this kind of lifestyle is just falling extremelyyyy out-of-fashion and just leaves an icky taste in people's mouths in 2020, in my opinion.

Anyone else agree or is this a reach?

The Kardashians among worst water hogs during Calif. drought: report

Quote

Three of the duo’s multi-million-dollar properties were among those issued “notices of exceedance” by the Las Virgenes Municipal Water District, indicating they’d surpassed 150% of their monthly water allowance at least four times since a drought emergency was declared late last year, according to records obtained by the Los Angles Times.

Giving some money to charities because they have billions is nothing compared to polluting the waters, air, and natural resources of the earth. They are helping few but killing millions thru natural resource pollution.

They have billions and the earth belongs to them.

It is not worth discussing what I do, lets talk about what is being destroyed by the billionaires.

I don't want to change things, Mother Teresa. I just want everyone to stop irrational, self serving "human" beings from thinking they have a duty to turn the entire world on its head just so they can feel God-like. People who are fixated on "change" can never even change themselves. But they want everyone else to change.

LOL

You are really funny. Please go and change the world. Millions of children have no food, no shelters. And the entertainers, the Kardashians have billions.

"Change" in its modern usage is actually proxy for "deconstruction". When demonic entities pretending to be human stop trying to make me into a slave, maybe then I will feel more inclined to march out there and "change".

So what? What do you want to do about it? Socialism, Communism? I don't mind people having a lot of money who are honest decent people. I forget the statistic but most rich people worked hard (and had talent) for it rather than inheriting it, but inheriting it is fine by me, also. They deserve it. What I mind is people who get their money by Criminal dishonest, violent, etc. means. Or who are too lazy, self-indulgent or whatever to work, but expect handouts from 'the rich' or the government. I don't like people who are using their billions to kill the earth and we people on it.

******

It is not worth discussing what I do, lets talk about what is being destroyed by the billionaires.

***********

Yes, the Billionaire 'Man-Made' Global Warming faction is killing millions of trees at a clip, maybe billions for all I know. They're killing millions of birds with their windmills, which are also messing up the ocean life. Not to mention that loud noise would drive any life crazy. Also the solar panels and windmills that are discarded in landfills are never going to disintegrate, etc.
Electric vehicles with their batteries (that burst into flames) also in landfills, etc. Billionaires flying their planes burning tons of fuel, etc.

That's only the tip of the iceberg.

Then there's how the billionaires are destroying the flora with their 'geoengineering' spraying, aka chemtrails, for decades. Hey how about whatever The Billionnaire class did to Canada and the US with Canadian 'wildfires' that were some weird substance, what the heck did they ruin with that. Think of what that crap in the air did to the earth.

Oh, I heard The Billionaires are responsible for screwing up the oceans and ocean-life as well with skillions of chemicals like we have in the air.

*********

My point is the irony that all the people on the 'save the earth' side that want to 'take from the 'rich' and give to the poor are the same side that are killing the earth and we people who live here. All the 'green' and 'global warming' side are killing every thing and everybody (covid scam/vaccines, etc.) here.

Convoluted, but I don't have time right now to look up all the crap the Billionaires and the little people on 'that side' who are cheering them on, are doing to us. Such hypocrites.

Also same side that just love their celebrities who are also on the same side, so hypocrites all because they're all spouting 'save the earth' take from the rich and give to the poor', and yet love the Billionaires who are killing everything and everybody (atmosphere, flora, fauna, people) with their global warming crap and 'science' Covid type crap. Hypocrites all.

(Was much easier when I could just say 'libs' ...)

Great comment, Jennifer.

I don't hate the rich for being rich; I hate them for the way they live. I would lay down my life for a multi-millionaire or billionaire who lives in a 2,000 square foot house and drives an ordinary car, and does charitable work with his own two hands.

But I don't have to worry about dying just yet - because there is no ultra rich person who lives that way.

There are millionaires who live regular or frugal lives.

You read stories about regular people whose family or the community finds out they were multi-millionaires after they die.

"One of the common traits among self-made millionaires is frugality. They often prioritize saving and investing over spending and luxury items. According to a study by Thomas J. Stanley and William D. Danko in their book "The Millionaire Next Door," many millionaires live in modest homes, drive used cars, and avoid spending money on status symbols. They also tend to avoid debt and are careful with their spending."

Warren Buffet is the classic example. I read that his children didn't even know he was rich until they were teens or grown up.

"Warren Buffett is the biggest investment tycoon and has a net worth of $110.9 billion, as of October 28. Buffett has pledged 99% of his wealth to go to charity. Buffet is one of the most modest billionaires in the world and he still resides in the same home he purchased for $31,500 in 1958."

But the Kardashians are BILLIONAIRES ... There is a difference

Maybe the level of waste and pollution is proportional to the billions you have...

Ha ha ha!

Anyway, I would not make too much of a distinction between someone who is "worth" [yucky word] half a billion to one who is a True Billionaire.

@Jennifer: Regarding very rich folks who live frugal lives. Indeed. Decades ago, I read "Nutcracker" by Shana Alexander; they made two (!) TV movies about this crime: "Lee Remick gets the role played on CBS by Stefanie Powers, that of Frances Schreuder, a would-be debutante and socialite who was convicted in 1983 of complicity in the murder of her father, a Salt Lake City merchant. She maneuvered one of her own sons, Marc, into committing the crime, which appears never to have caused her a moment's remorse."

Well, if I recall, the murdered grandfather, Franklin Bradshaw, was very, very rich but he was beyond frugal. He was a distributor of auto parts over a large region, for years. Plus oil & gas etc.

He lived in a "normal" house with his wife and made his own oatmeal porridge every morning. Further, he carried his important business papers to and from the office every day - geeze, I can't stop laughing here - in a modified pop or beer case, where there's a little carrying handle at the top but he took the dividers out. Etc. Much more. That's just for starters.

Author Shana Alexander, in a lengthy preface to her book, does not hide her distaste for this family simply because they were/are Mormon. See, according to her world view, Mormonism is a uniquely white, right wing, American-born religion and we can't have that, can we now.
