My body doesn't react well to cooked food anymore

Date: March 13, 2007 04:11PM Last night, after having some dried figs (not that great), had some chicory, a tomatoe, and a cucumber, with some salt (craved some salt). Then the craving for some pizza overcame me and I ordered a medium all-dressed from Pizza Hut. I must say I thoroughly enjoyed eating it.
However later I was very thirsty and had 4 glasses of water before going to bed. On a raw food diet I usually wake up 2-4 times during the night to urinate. However did not need to get up at all. That was the only good thing. However I had a sore throat during the night and today my legs feel stiff and swollen. So far only drank some water. I want to give my body time to deal with the pizza and will go back to raw and eat only later during the day. ______________________________________________ John 8:7 (Contemporary English Version) "They kept on asking Jesus about the woman. Finally, he stood up and said, "If any of you have never sinned, then go ahead and throw the first stone at her!" Re: My body doesn't react well to cooked food anymore

Date: March 13, 2007 04:52PM Yeah--I do raw all week -- feel great -- then the weekend comes and I lapse (usually dinner) and feel totally achey and sluggish afterwards. Also, I notice that I don't really even "crave" the cooked food, it kind of makes me when I think about eating it, but after the first bite, the old food-addict is back in action! So, the goal for me is better planning for the weekend! Re: My body doesn't react well to cooked food anymore

That's your body telling you something about fatty salty cooked food. Re: My body doesn't react well to cooked food anymore

have you removed ALL cooked foods from your home? maybe that isn't so wise yet. Store a package of unsalted rice cakes in a lock box somewhere! Re: My body doesn't react well to cooked food anymore

But the after-effects can tell us volumes on which food our body does better. Let's keep on trying! ___________________________________________ Proverbs 15:17 (New International Version) "Better a meal of vegetables where there is love than a fattened calf with hatred." Store a package of > unsalted rice cakes in a lock box somewhere! I went raw on April 17, 2006 but have been battling a health challenge (my esophagus valve doesn't seem to close properly and stomach acid has been burning me day and night) since July of 2005. Though I have been 100 % raw since then, on rare occasions my memories and taste buds for my old favorite foods has gotten the best of me. But I quickly return to raw because I can quickly see it's the best way of eating for me. ________________________________________________________ Proverbs 15:17 (New International Version) "Better a meal of vegetables where there is love than a fattened calf with hatred."
