does anyone drink green tea? i used to drink lots of it and i miss it.

i had some organic jasmine green tea and just now i opened the tea bags and blended the leaves with 3 dates and some water and ice. It's really delicious...does anyone know whether green tea has already been cooked in a process or not? i am curious.

The only tea I drink is Yerba mate!!!
It is soooooooooo good.

Here's a little info from the Guayaki site, they carry the organic yerba mate tea that I drink. The chai yerba mate is wonderful! I usually buy it at the health food store.

If you want to check out the site it's www.guayaki.com
and they have lots of great info.

-----------------------------------

South America’s yerba mate and Asia’s green tea are two of nature’s most treasured, health-giving daily rituals.

A green tea is one that is not fermented and not roasted. Healthwise, green teas are superior to oolong and black teas as many of the beneficial antioxidant compounds are protected by the green tea production process. Black teas may taste sweeter because they are fermented and then roasted, but this flavor comes at the expense of its life giving properties. Just like in nature, green is life giving.

While yerba mate and green tea share many of the same benefits, (antioxidants, polyphenols, flavenoids, bio flavenoids, and theophylline) modern science shows that yerba mate has 52 more active compounds than green tea. There are 196 active compounds in yerba mate compared to the 144 found in green tea. In fact, yerba mate can boast higher polyphenol and antioxidant counts than either green or black teas.

You can get the benefits of both yerba mate and green tea in Guayaki’s Greener Green Tea, which is a nourishing combination of organic green tea, organic lemongrass, and organic yerba mate. This stimulating blend is an antioxidant powerhouse! Brew a cup to spark up your day. Makes an excellent iced organic tea too.

Wheatgrass, it does a body good!!!
