Anyone drink Raw Kombucha ?

[www.gtskombucha.com] It's kind of gross. Weird almost like soda but sour and fizzy. I can't decide if I want to bother trying the other flavors if the supposed health benefits are worth it. Date: May 08, 2007 11:09PM LOL! it's tangier and bubblier when you make it yourself. you can use it like vinegar on salads when it gets really funky...
i posted on the other thread. i like kombucha, but haven't drunk it for two years or so. might start making it again as i think i might need more probiotics. but i don't think you should use it if you don't like it. i know many people who get addicted to it (my husband and i drank it like sweet ice tea in the south) and others who can't stand it. listen to your mouth. it's a 'processed' raw food, so some don't even consider it truly raw. maybe it's good for you, but maybe not. peace-  Re: Anyone drink Raw Kombucha ?

I think beer is about 10 proof, yet I get the same buzz off 8 oz of kombucha that I'd have to drink 2 12-oz bottles of beer to get. That's wild that it would do that to me. Date: May 12, 2007 09:05PM it doesn't make the kitchen smell vinegary. but the large glass jar on top of the fridge with the 'mushroom' growing on it does tend to get funny responses from roommates. i had one lady we were living with call it my 'science experiment.'
i'd make my own again if i started drinking it. it tastes different, stronger, and it feels better to me. peace- Re: Anyone drink Raw Kombucha ?

Date: May 13, 2007 04:33AM I didn't see this thread when I posed my question about this drink....found some here at our co-op, and seems like a drink that one must accustom themselves to. I didn't like it...neither did my boys. Is there some other drink that is like this that does the same but doesn't come out my nose when I drink it through a straw?
