Date: May 12, 2007 11:44PM My plant remains a mystery. In a desperate move I took Basil (her name) to a nursery (plant shop) for identification. They told me to bring when it's about half a meter tall. They could not tell what it was. Basil keeps growing very very slowly. Will it ever reach half a meter height? What if it decides to be a bonzai? I may never learn what is is. Unless, of course, it starts bearing fruit. Basil-persimmons, for example.

Seems to be growing very very slowly.... Maybe it is some sort of tropical plant and needs hot to grow tall??
I like the name La_veronique (the first name) Basil (surname) for the plant. So it is ding-dong! Patience, please. It may be years before I know who she is...??? Gosia

Date: September 16, 2007 10:46PM I thought the plant died. It lost its leaves. I blamed myself for neglecting it. I wondered how I would ever explain myself to you. But hold on. It's alive again. It has several new buds, all turning into leaves. And, it is perhaps an inch taller. I must take a photo to show you. It's looking good and very alive. Little determined creature.
