Raw Beans...HELP!
Posted by: Ksee ()

I have been soaking raw garbonzo beans and red kidney beans for a few days now to soften them. I need help because I do not know how to make them edible. Do I need to cook this food item? If so, can you recommend the most effective way to do this. I am dying for some raw chili!

thanks!

There are only 2 ways to convert the relatively inedible starches: 1) Cooking...or 2) Sprouting. If the beans won't sprout after 3 days or so....then they were never viable to begin with. Find a different source that you know is viable: like [www.sproutpeople.com]
