Does wheatgrass contain gluten? No wheatgrass is a suitable food type for those with a gluten intolerance. Although wheat grain contains gluten, wheatgrass is not a grain, it is a green vegetable and as such contains no gluten. [www.happyjuicer.com] Does that answer make sense to you? Grass is a vegetable? Re: Does wheat-grass contain gluten?

Date: June 04, 2007 08:11PM Birdy, I just started growing my own wheatgrass. It's not even ready to harvest yet. I bought The Wheatgrass Book by Ann Wigmore. I got it on Amazon. It's full of great information that would help you. It explains so much including how to do a wheatgrass fast (3 days) which I want to do sometime. On the website happyjuicer.com it says it's a vegetable and OK for gluten sensitive people.
Good luck! Joan Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
