How many grams of seaweed does a person need each day to make sure they're getting the minerals their body needs?

I love seaweed. I couldn't eat it everyday, though. I eat it whenever I get a craving for it. It's so packed with minerals that you could probably go overboard if you ate it everyday, unless it's in pretty small quantities. When I first went raw I ate it alot more than I do now, I was craving it alot.

ask the ocean

my guess is 0 a day is needed...but i'm not of the camp that thinks they don't have a decent supply of minerals. I found them (dulse, not so much the others) enjoyable/fulfilling for quite awhile.

think about it, why would you need to eat scraped ocean bottom daily to fill a nutrient need? or any particular thing for that matter - considering that our prior diets of total crap, veg, cooked vegan, whatever.

how much seaweed was in your previous diet? how much selenium? how much b-12? how much fat, how much usuable protein? all these things are bogus when we think about how much food actually - in more cases that not - syphons away our nutirents minerals and vitality.
