Date: July 06, 2007 10:17PM These people operate farms in NY and California where animals rescued from farms and slaughterhouses are cared for lovingly. They are vegan and offer all sorts of visits, events, dining, etc. It's worth visiting their website

Date: July 07, 2007 08:16AM My daughter's boyfriend's mother runs a pig sanctuary in NW Washington. They have over 200 pigs saved from being made into bacon living freely on their farm. It runs on donations and volunteers. They also give tours during the warm months.
