skin, flesh, or both

Are the enzyme inhibitors in nuts only in the skin, or are they in the flesh as well? The Brazil and pine nuts that I purchase come with their skins removed, but if the flesh also has the inhibitors in them, I'd like to soak them first.

thank you

From what I know if the nut is white (ie, pine, cashew) they don't need to be soaked.

The enzyme inhibitors are intrinsic to the nut, which means that you'd need to soak the nut, not just remove the skin, to release the inhibitors.
