Success sprouting red rice

Date: July 14, 2007 08:43PM I started doing a raw food day a week three weeks ago, and since then I've been experimenting with sprouting. I read up on sprouting rice, and learned that while it's easy and healthy, the rice is still too hard to eat raw.
Well, I decided to try anyway (born to a family of engineers, lol), and I have had great success with sprouting - and eating - red rice. It sprouts like a dream (despite being just regular rice I bought in bulk at a South Asian grocer's), and while it is a bit chewy, it's definitely not the tooth-chipping hardness of regular rice, it's more like chewing cumin seeds or sesame seeds. Just thought I'd share that! Re: Success sprouting red rice
