What is the name of fatty fruit found in Africa?

Date: September 15, 2007 04:57AM I am trying to think of the name of a fruit that I heard about. It is a fatty fruit, it grows in Africa, and it supposedly tastes like salami. Does anyone know its name? Has anyone tried it?

Date: September 15, 2007 05:39AM Try contacting someone in one of the countries of Africa. Or try contacting someone from a consulate or embassy of an African country. Or, heck, there are lots of people in the US from Africa, working all over the place. Hope you find the name. Then what?

Date: September 15, 2007 06:12PM Hmm, for that Kigelia, it says the fresh fruit is poisonous. I'm not sure if that's the one, cuz the people who told me about it were raw foodists! But thanks, that tree looks interesting....
