Date: October 02, 2007 10:07PM I think the important thing is to eat a 100% WHOLE diet, meaning nothing like sugar which can in fact cause deficiences - after that it's whatever your body prefers, be it fruit or greens or even some cooked grains or vegetables.
And cancer can definitely be caused by environmental toxins, it's not just diet. Nature can't keep up with our current onslaught of scary franken-chemicals being poured into our bodies via the environment. I for one started taking zeolite after realizing this, because zeolite is good at trapping weird chemicals and safely removing them. Disease can be either or both - diet AND toxins. I am a proud Christian woman who has recently (re)accepted Jesus in my life and I would love for you to show me where in the scripture (Genesis I am sure) it validates the raw food diet - specifically a fruit based diet. Also, did you mean that individuals in the Bible ate greens (ie -leafy plants) in addition to the fruit greens? Thank you so much for your time and devotion. Inner Beauty Re: long time fruitarians

Sometimes, I'm Gods problem child, and I'm hoping to be kinder & a better example, these days. <innerbeauty> Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Rawrr, > I am a proud Christian woman who has recently > (re)accepted Jesus in my life and I would love for > you to show me where in the scripture (Genesis I > am sure) it validates the raw food diet - > specifically a fruit based diet. Sorry i missed your question. I don't recall exactly what happened six months prior to that post. That would have been in april. No I can't recall anything specific. All I do know is that I feel more open to alternative points of view for a lot of things. Not just food related. I am also quite a bit more skeptical of 'science' these days. Not that its wrong by nature, but that its too skewed by money and politics. Also the amount of information that just gets ignored, or doesn't reach the general public because of money and politics, or just that people aren't interested, because maybe that means one has to think and change. Usually that means work! I want to become fruitarian! I think I am going that direction more and more. I'm not perfect, but I am finding that after doing a short apple and pear mono diet my taste has changed. By comparision being vegan is a 'piece of cake', when it comes to social things. But its really strange, cooked vegan foods seem almost as heavy as animal products compared to fruit. Re: long time fruitarians

Ha,ha...yeah, I went through many, many changes of opinion, infact my whole life has changed, also you'll find that a fruitarian is just a strict raw vegan so don't worry about a thing, you'll do great!
