Date: October 06, 2007 01:44AM

Just found out I could do them last night and took a video today, I'm real excited about this because this was a long time goal that I gave up hope on, I just figured I couldn't do it and never bothered again!!!

What's this called, I've seen it done but can never find out what it's called?

Awesome job!

It's a great feeling when you meet a new fitness goal. I finally went from 35 push ups to doing 46. Weird because it happened suddenly in the same week. I was stuck at 35 for a long time.

I bet you can do 100's of push ups at a time? How many do you do? Can you do the clapping push ups?

haha...awesome man!

i'm into the clap thing..throwing some speed and gravitational force into the equation!

sometimes I'll do declines...and just chuck the bar up and down and catch it. or lower it slowly then launch it upwards and catch.

I've also been putting boxing into the equation...hitting a bag (with all my might) seems to do well thrown in between my chest and tricep building routines. This seems to have a similar effect.

Oh sure, lets see you do that WITHOUT your MP3 player music, if you're such a tough guy! Just teasing. Wonderous!

Cheers Rox

Congrats on the push ups...

Oh I can do about 110-160 push ups in one set depending where my head is at, if you check out the rest of the vids on youtube you'll see me doing all kinds of push ups, including clap push ups....

Be good

F1.. do you do your strength training every day on the same muscle groups ?

Its just I've noticed I seem to wear down gradualy the more days I do the same excersizes and yet if I have a days break I bounce back big time.

you should audition for cique de soleil

since March--
I went from 20 to about 35 pushups at once
bicep curls: 12.5-17
planks: ~1 min - 2min+
situps: 20ish - endless (various forms)...no idea how to make this harder

half of me wants to attribute it to being raw, but I still have that other half saying, "no, you're just more steady and focused in all aspects of life as you mature." I suppose it isn't so polar...it could be a copaction of both. oh gee--making up words am I?

Ah, a good opportunity to thank you, F1. I live at a temple in South Korea. Yesterday, one of the monks here finally showed interest in the way I eat. I don't have that good of a command of Korean language but I managed to tell him a little. But showing him pictures of you probably did more to impress him than anything I told him.

Another thing I want to thank you for is for starting a thread some months back encouraging everyone to get exercise. I started sometime around then. I've been doing yoga and when I get the chance, I do heavy work here at the temple. Like today. And some of the people are noticing it. I love it when people tell me that if I don't eat rice I won't have any strength. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I should carry pictures of you around with me and just flash them to everyone who says this!

I don't have anything like the muscles you have. And I'm not interested. I feel plenty strong and seem to be stronger than most people I see even though I have skinny arms. So I thank you for the encouragement to exercise, and for posting pictures of yourself on the internet.

Right on F1.

I think you and I both know it's the change in lifestyle!

Go out and celebrate your new found fitness by getting out in nature for a workout show yourself how great you are and sing it from the roof tops for all to see what a great example you are!

Wow, that's great feed back, what's funny is that I've no interest in having muscle either and I don't train for them, I'm all about being functional, having fun and getting active in nature anything else that comes from that is a bonus!

I'm glad that your example is rubbing off on people!!!!
