interesting that david wolfe, the interviewer, specifically brings up irish moss, which he conveniently now sells. brilliant product placement - suddenly i feel compelled to get some irish moss! somebody stop me! Re: "There's no future in cooked food." Juliano.... you gotta love him!

Date: October 12, 2007 11:49PM Yeah, those guys are smooth & ethereal. I didn't know who was interviewing him. Doesn't matter anyways, because I never buy packaged superfoods or imported raw trendy hype. If it's not in the fresh produce section of my health food store, then I don't buy it.
I also realize Juliano wants us to go to his restaurant, and not the sushi place across the street. He defames cooked food with truth. 99% of restaurant owners cannot look you in the eyes, and say they're food is healthy. He can. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 10/12/2007 11:51PM by Rawrrr!. Date: October 12, 2007 11:52PM pretty cool. As I'm new to being raw (3+ months), I hadn't heard of this guy, but he's pretty funny and obviously has plenty of energy and passion. He seems relaxed yet passionate which is a great combo in my opinion. Re: "There's no future in cooked food." Juliano.... you gotta love him!

Date: October 13, 2007 02:14AM He is cute, enthusiastic for sure, but I disagree on a few points. He didn't read that paper on virgin coconut oil that is supposed to be so "healthy." What is said is that is is better than cooked coconut oil for sure but it is still more artery-clogging than virgin olive oil (or avocado)PMID: 15329324.
I don't think raw junk food is all that great or unlimited fats. And eating raw will not impart a 600-800 year lifespan. From the mouse studies it looks like maybe 20% life extension max. Still worth pursuing imho. Re: "There's no future in cooked food." Juliano.... you gotta love him!

Do you have the full text for that study? PMID: 15329324 I read the abstract and it only describes beneficial effects of the VCO, and does not mention olive oil or avocado. Do you have the pdf you could send me. I can pm you with my email address. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
