Date: May 01, 2006 11:54PM Well my intention was to do my new routine but I did 3 sets of 50 push ups and it didn't even touch me!!!
so I ended up sticking to the press ups and did an all time personal best of 1900!!! This time I just kept on going and going, I didn't feel dead afterwards like I usually do either. Re: Fruitarian Fitness (personal bests)

Date: May 03, 2006 01:07AM I was able to run 5 miles in under 39 minutes, but now I have constant soreness in my calf muscles, even when I don't work out or run. I truly miss running and don't won't to give it up, but I'm out until I can find a solution or relief to my pain. Re: Fruitarian Fitness (personal bests)

Date: May 04, 2006 01:40PM Today was supposed to be rest day but it was too much of a beautiful day not to do something.

If you like running, you should check out Stu Mittleman's "Slow Burn" That guy is awesome, he has the world record for running 1,000 miles in just under 12 days. He is all about the raw foods too, the book is packed with good nutritional information and inspiring stories. Re: Fruitarian Fitness (personal bests)

Date: May 07, 2006 10:33PM Thanks Oneris. I looked up the book on Amazon.
"When I first started competing in multiday events, I viewed meal breaks as a welcome relief from an otherwise tedious and austere day. Food is instant gratification in a world devoid of pleasure; it exists only to provide me with immediate energy and pleasure and enough of an incentive to keep me going until my next meal break. Now, after changing my nutrition strategies to rely more on a balanced approach to eating, not just on carbohydrates for energy, I've come to recognize that moving itself is what I crave--not the eating. I feel as if I can move continuously, effortless, and forever. Food is now the means to an end, not an end in and of itself....In essence, my relationship to food has flipped-flopped. Eating is no longer the reward for continuously moving; being able to continuously move is the reward for eating right." What a great quote! Re: Fruitarian Fitness (personal bests)

Date: May 19, 2006 02:53AM Ok you squares!!!!
I was gonna take the day off because I went on a long hike today but I decided I was gonna do something and seeing as though my legs were toasted I thought I would try my hand at these one handed push ups.... I did 700 in total. It was a good achievement considering I'm pretty new to that exercise. Re: Fruitarian Fitness (personal bests)

About muscle soreness, I don't know how relevant this is, but supposedly chia seeds are a real miracle food for marathons and such, prevent the builup of lactic acid which causes muscle pain. Adrienne Re: Fruitarian Fitness (personal bests)

I still think it is funny -- don't stress about the number, at least you're trying the pushups. I had a personal best today -- I swam 2 miles in 50 minutes! I was very proud of myself. Is it cheating if I am not a fruitarian, but a raw foodist generally? Raw Daddy -- livin' raw and lovin' it Re: Fruitarian Fitness (personal bests)

Fruitarians and Raw Vegans are pretty much the same thing unless your into all the "Raw" cookies, ice cream, etc. Re: Fruitarian Fitness (personal bests)

Date: May 31, 2006 02:51PM Yes, I love raw ice creams, so I am not quite the same! The cookies, however, I think are nasty. Raw Daddy -- livin' raw and lovin' it Re: Fruitarian Fitness (personal bests)
