nut milk question

Hi everyone!

I love nut milk. Unfortunately the only nuts I can afford in Romania are walnuts. Not my favorite nut milk but...organic and raw at least. My quick question was: how long can I keep the milk refrigerated? I had it for 2 or 3 days and it tastes funny although my fridge is set on arctic temps. I put a bit of raw honey to sweeten and warmed it up slightly (a bit over room temperature) and it was sour and bad. What am I doing wrong?

Thnks guys!

walnut skin is very bitter. could you get some seeds like pumpkin, sunflower or sesame? they also make good milks. it is best fresh, like fresh juice, but i think a day in the fridge should be ok.

I've made milk from various nuts and seeds and had it keep much longer than 2 days. I am wondering if the spoilage is related to the water used. I am blessed with delicious, clean water from my own well.

The water deffo makes a difference

When I use inercity tap water..2 days and its icky

When I am at home using water basically from a spring, it lasts 3-4 days easy

I only ever make a litre at a time and that never last long anyways smiling smiley
