Date: November 15, 2007 06:27PM Dr. Herbert Shelton has written some awesome books and articles about feeding babies. I highly recommend them!
[soilandhealth.org] "The Hygienic Care of Children" is one example Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 11/15/2007 06:29PM by Bryan10. Re: babies

Date: November 16, 2007 03:30AM I've never read an actual book on this but I've seen little mentions everywhere about how because meat, milk or formula and cooked is all "mucus forming", it has to do with why babies get "colic" or have runny noses and always seem to get "sick". "allergies" and "touch of asthma" go along with it too. Re: babies

Date: November 18, 2007 11:24AM Most of the world feeds their babies dead animals. Not saying that it is the best way but it is all some people know. Lots of people eat things or do things that are not good for their bodies ... much of the time due to social pressures or ideals.
My family is from Sicily. They think cheese is the greatest thing and they feel that meat is good. They also eat a lot of pasta and things of that nature. I went back for a visit last year and watched my cousin trying to convince her baby that he should have cheese. His natural instinct was to pull his head away. Rather than letting him not eat cheese, my cousin mixed it with his other food so he would eat it. They also feel that raw is horrible for you with the exception of fruit. I used to buy the best green beans and other veggies, explain that I wanted them as is, but would come back from my walk to all my beautiful produce cooked.
