Date: May 09, 2006 02:07PM Hello all,
Well, my baby is 6 months old and I'm still here at my parents' in Canada not back in Hawaii where I thought I'd be, and with the weather clearing and with transitioning back to raw foodin' (my baby thrives best when I eat this way, so hopefully it'll be the transition for good!) I'm planning on starting to make raw foods for the market and possibly some stores and restaurants here, my biggest joy would be a booth at the farmer's market here in Halifax, complete with free tastings and lots of information on raw food, to raise awareness. There is a growing market here, with raw books in the library and raw food bars in the health food stores, but most people will say "what do you mean, raw food??" So gettin' goin' a source for information, food, and inspiration & unification here feels great, would potentially solve how this hippie chick and her new little unexpected amazing baby will get along, and will help me stick to raw food if I'm helping others and meeting others, and I have a passion for sharing healing and inspirational information with others, as well as a passion for preparing heartful yummy food, so... woohoo!! Now, I would like to ask for help in coming up with: ~ a packaging solution. One thing I'd make is raw pies, which I could have in real dishes at the market, with a discount next time if you bring your plate back... but what of other stuff?? ~ I am going to have handouts on the table with information about raw food benefits and whatnot, and welcome reminders/suggestions here for content ~ I have only a couple raw food books here though I've read a number of them, would like to have some on the table for people to look at. I'll also make a handout with some recipes and links, but if anyone would like to send some along, that would be groovy ~ I'm also looking into buying a dehydrator and a food processor/good juicer, if anyone has recommendations or ones for sale. That's all I can think of right now, I look forward to hearing some input! And I encourage everyone and anyone who's living where raw foods aren't well-known to get up and pass the word, word! Smiles and peaces of pie, Adrienne and little Dovelin too Re: advice on starting up a raw food "business"?
